My Story
Well, alright, I’ll admit it. I’m a local. Born and raised in Vancouver, WA and both of my parents are native Camasonians. And yep, I said it when I was little. That I would never live in Camas. And here I am, some thirty years later, living in Camas, raising my family, enjoying my community and loving every minute of it. I love the town, the schools, the community and I love, love, love the people. So when I was pondering what direction my life was veering now that both of my kids are in school all day, I discovered I was really passionate about my community. You know, the place where you spend most of your time. The place within a 10 mile radius that you shop, drive, visit and run errands of every sort. The place where we are all living right now doing our best on our journey to either raise a family, enjoy retirement or just enjoying the ride of life.
Along with my passion for my community is my passion for talking to people, getting to know them and hear their stories. As I’m learning in life everyone has a story. All these stories help me see things differently, teach me new things, enlighten me and help me to become a better person. I’m hoping that by sharing positive stories from our community it will in turn show you an angle you might not have looked from, teach you something you didn’t know and enlighten and put a new spin on things. I’m following a dream of mine by starting this project and maybe it will inspire you to follow a dream as well. My dream is to get out in my community, report on businesses making a go of it out there, people making a difference, and just some good Camas news.
Please take time to check out some of my interviews. There are always more to come and I look forward to sharing this great community of Camas with you!
I’m just a girl in Camas wanting to share some good news.
