Flash Flood Warning issued October 10 at 11:24AM MST until October 10 at 5:15PM MST by NWS Flagstaff AZ

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...West Clear Creek in
Coconino County in north central Arizona...
Yavapai County in west central Arizona...
* Until 515 PM MST.
* At 1124 AM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of
rain fell in the area overnight, and additional heavy rain is
falling. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding along West Clear Creek
is expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of West Clear Creek.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Camp Verde, Indian Maiden Falls, Hanging Garden, Bullpen Day Use
Area, Verde Lakes, Rockin' River Ranch State Park and West Clear
Creek Wilderness.
This includes State Route 260 between mile markers 225 and 231...and
near mile marker 235...and
between mile markers 245 and 246.
This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds...
Clear Creek Group Campgrounds.
This includes the following swimming holes...
Bull Pen Day Use Area, West Clear Creek near the campground and
Indian Maiden Falls.
This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Clover Creek, Corduroy Wash, Brady Canyon, West Clear Creek,
Walker Creek, Long Canyon, Verde River and Toms Creek.
Stay away or be swept away! The banks of creeks and washes are
unstable and unsafe during any flooding event.
Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
Get out of washes and creeks if you are camping or hiking! Flooding
is occurring or imminent and will inundate creeks and washes.
National Weather Service: A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for this area until 5:15 PM MST. This is a dangerous and life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
