We know a lot of you depend on our calendars and enewsletters to find great family events, and we always aim to be accurate and up-to-date. But because of the coronavirus, some events are being canceled/postponed, often last minute. For example, this weekend's Second Sunday Family Day at the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University is canceled. So before you get the kids dressed and into the car, we encourage you to double-check with the venue itself. And respond here if you hear of other Bay Area family events that are canceled. Stay healthy everyone!

Dear Bay Area Attached Families, I'm hoping you can help, I'm assisting with sourcing PPE (personal protective equipment) for Bay Area midwives and doulas during the COVID- 19 pandemic. Midwives, as independent primary care providers, don't have access to institutional ordering or supplies being provided by employers. Most PPE has been backordered for weeks. The good news is that midwives attend low risk births and care is provided in a birth center or client's home. They do a lot of home prenatal and postpartum care, and for everyones' safety we are seeking protective gear. The demand for homebirth/birth center care has gone up significantly in the last few weeks. If you have access to any of the items listed here or can call around to businesses like dentist offices that might be closed currently but have some items in stock, we'd greatly appreciate your help! No amount is too small, if you have an extra bottle of even one item, it will really help out, thank you! Please share this post widely. Big shout out to my friend and Compass Realtor Michelle Taser for sources gloves today from The WIllows Market in Menlo Park and from her dentist! Thanks MT!!
