Amateur radio ceases to amaze me.

Worked some MSK144 for meteor scatter Made 2 QSOs.

Got DX entity #228. Tried for #229 but not enough power.

Worked 5 new country bands.

Proved HF works at in-laws.

Made over 250 QSOs this weekend.

Applied for a vanity callsign. (This page might be changing its name!)

To say the least, I think HamExposition in Marlborough, MA was a success! From sitting through technical talks, to expressing your desires and opinion in the many state and section forums, it's always a good time to walk the flea market and vendors, meeting people like W2RE - Jonesport, Maine (I forgot to take a photo!) to hanging out with the 1derland Discord Crew!

Had a great time, learned a lot, and can't wait to do it again!

I am an author of POTA articles, and when I have a great or unique activation, I plan to write about it.

Well well well!

What can I say? New Hampshire is always good to me, and this park was no exception! Milan Hill State Park, US-2661 was HANDILY activated twice in the same day for me (new day zulu cross over for logs) and both times in under five minutes from first QSO to 10 in the logs. Amazing park, only ran 100 watts but 800 feet of elevation makes a difference!

In the end, I got permission from the park staff to stay late to pick up some Night Shift activation and work deeper into the 40m band as it picked up. All told, 213 in the log, with one dupe! A ton of DX stations reached out, making for a great time as well. I even brought an extra 40aH battery but I only used 10aH to get done what I got done!

I'm here for another few days... can we Kilo this park? I know I'd love to. We're gonna try!

Look,

This award is great and I love the idea of having an award for DXCC that is like the WAS Triple Play. But ARRL is still stuck in the past with their ordering (something I am now seeing as I go to order my DXCC Challenge Plaque)

If all the credits have to be showing in LOTW to be eligible (no QSL cards are allowed for this award, so I appreciate them trying to use this as a push for old HAMs to modernize, while also at the same time condemning them for also killing QSL card culture) why can't we order this directly from LOTW like we do certs and other endorsements?

When people complain ARRL is stuck in the past, I will point to this new award.

Today we barely got Pawtuckaway State Park US-2672 in New Hampshire activated. No internet or cell service for spots, barely able to get 2 SSB contacts, and digital salvaged the rest of the way. No spotting on the website from others either. AND heavy QSB.

Also not a great spot to setup. Dad, KC1WAI had to hold the mast up because the stake wasn't hammered in very well and wasn't holding.

We managed it though. Logs to come soon!

When work says you don't have to be at work...

WE GO POTA!

US-6868 was full of surprises today. Like the wet puppy that showed up next to me and shook himself out all over myself and my gear! SSB only with my phone to log. 101 in the logs in short order!

I also made my way to another park, US-10656 where my activation was short and sweet. It got into the 90's easily, I had no laptop, and was logging on my phone so SSB only it was! I wish I had my laptop for FT8, but we made it through both activations! Just over 20 in the logs!
