Amazon; Audible; Stitcher; Spotify and Talkshoe! The episodes will come out every 2 weeks initially. If you like what you hear please kindly provide a comment or review on whichever platform you use? Have fun!!
Quick update - first episode of my new Podcast coming very soon “Curiosities of the English Language” or as previously announced and still a “sub” heading - “idiosyncrasies”! I’m having SO much fun preparing!
Thanks to all who sent me best wishes for my voice business relaunch post! More informational posts will follow!
Today is my big Voice(s) business relaunch!
Now I have my own Home Studio, just ready to record your voiceovers, on-hold phone messaging, e-learning, audiobooks, podcasts, entertainment for your family or anything else where you need one of my many British, dialect or character voices (including my favorites - Churchill and Shel Silverstein)! Let me know how I can help you?
Further to yesterday's post, now especially for young children, here are 2 more audiobooks I recorded a couple of years ago: "The Tooth Fairies: Quest for Tear Heaven by Glenn Parris" and "Wyatt the Wonder Dog learns about Giving" by Lynne Watts. The first is on "Audiobooksnow.com" and second at http://wyattthewonderdog.com/the-wyatt-store/
I hope you get a chance to find and try these out with a little bit of searching!

Welcome to the Wyatt Store Books and Lesson Plans that change kids' lives! Wyatt the Wonder Dog Books is a series designed to help busy elementary school counselors nurture tomorrow's leaders by teaching lessons that make a difference. All of the Wyatt picture books are grab 'n go lessons with discu...
As my primary source of income (entertaining live inside senior care communities) is currently not available I think so many folks out there (particularly children) at this time need entertaining maybe with humor and inspiration! I have decided initially to do 2 things hopefully to help in this regard by opening up and sharing from my archives a couple of ways you can hear some of my many voices and readings over the last few years.
First I have quite a few readings, performances and presentations on my You Tube Channel: as Neil Scott-Barbour (The British Voice Talent)!
Next I have recorded a number of audiobooks published by Audible, and even if you do not have an account I think you can at least pull up samples and I there maybe a free trial also. If you start by pulling up a short story, for example "Meet and Greet" by Ian Rankin, it should show ALL others - fiction and non fiction which I have done under my name!
Moving forward I will have other postings with content soon too!
Enjoy!
Neil
I would like to thank all friends and family on Facebook for all the wonderful Birthday wishes for my 78th yesterday and also, in this time of fear and concern over the pandemic, I'd like to recommend something! I suggest spreading a different kind of infection - SMILING! Don't leave it "undetected", let's start a positive "epidemic"! I hope this will help you and others!
Hello again friends - since my last post I have recorded a couple more "fun" readings for Avery's 3rd grade school! The students have been able to check these on what the Teacher calls "Fun Fridays"! Here is one of these some of you might enjoy: https://youtu.be/FYyt9c1XJJM
Here is another of my expressive readings primarily for 3rd graders in Elementary Schools
Another thing I have been doing during this pandemic is to follow up my usual "live" readings to one of my granddaughter's 3 rd grade class at her elementary school by preparing video "expressive readings"! The students can then choose to watch in their homes if they wish through the school's special "homework" connection system. I have also shared the same video recording with Next Step Ministries in Woodstock, GA, where I have also entertained "live" young adults who attend for a range of therapeutic day services with a variety of unique physical and cognitive needs.
All my "video recordings" which I send out, help me to feel blessed to be able to share my many "voices" with which God has gifted me!
Here is an example of one of my recent readings:

During this time as you know I have not sent out any postings! This, of course, in my case is because my main source of "bringing joy, laughter and inspiration" to residents (and a little income for me) dried up early when all senior care communities I used to visit stopped all outside entertainment!
I have done a couple of "expressive reading" programs sent by You Tube link to a number of communities in the hope that they can let residents view in some way. Here is an example, maybe it will help to raise your spirits!

Encouraging and fun entertainment primarily for residents of senior care communities
A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my friends and colleagues, from me (the Big Elf)! Looking forward to working with you and bringing you my "voices" or performing for residents of your senior care communities!
One of my many "Big Elf" special Christmas readings was at Brickmont Assisted Living and here I am with a group of residents after the program! Such a blessing and a joy to entertain folks, especially at this time of year!
I would like to share with you the website for the wonderful service organization I support (love to read to the folks at both their addresses), along with many others in the Woodstock area. NextStepMinistries.net a 501(c)3 non-profit that seeks to change the lives of individuals with cognitive and physical challenges through programs that reinforce their inclusive place in society. They are funded by sponsorships and donations and have many needs this time of year. Please check them out and see how you might help them! Please help bring a Happy Christmas to all these people!
Yesterday I began my "Big Elf" Christmas program readings to special needs people at the 2 Next Step Ministries addresses! This is such a wonderful blessing to me to continue my support of this incredible organization. Now on to performances at 11 senior care communities and my granddaughter's Elementary school class between now and Christmas!
Another full week of readings with one full costume Winston Churchill with the best announcement I've ever had prepared by a community at Parc Piedmont shown here!
This has been a busy week starting with Veterans Day, where I had the honor of addressing veterans in 2 retirement communities (one shown in attached photo). Next I performed my "Winston Churchill" program (see photos attached) at Brickmont in Milton followed the next day by one of my new programs "Major Language & cultural differences between the British & Americans" at Georgian Lakeside plus a "fun" program for a Memory Care facility. I LOVE what I do!
I recently posted about being MC at the Next Step Ministries a week ago and indicating the video in which I was privileged to take part, shown during the evening. Here is the link to this great production by my dear friend Mary Bess Champion (and supporter of NSM), owner of Verity Videography: https://vimeo.com/371463810
This is "Partner with Next Step Ministries | Stepping Up and Out" by Verity Videography on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love…
The last few days have been very busy but also very heartwarming! On Thursday night I had the great honor of being Master of Ceremonies for Next Step Ministries 10th Anniversary Gala at His Hands Church in Woodstock! I had previously been the narrator for the special video shown that evening also. Among other announcements I was privileged to introduce Miss Georgia (Victoria Hill) and CBS46 Anchor - Gurvir Dhindsa as well as a number of speakers including Lori Baker (Founder & Executive Director of Next Step Ministries) - all shown in this picture.
Well I'm into that fun, busy entertaining season which began with the first of 4 Halloween readings today and then on into some great "mixture" readings in November! This is also the period when many communities book my "Big Elf" Christmas season special. I am still open for senior care community and church bookings and also daycare centers and other children's groups!

As another "first" recently I performed as William Shakespeare at East Cobb Senior Center's 24th Anniversary Party!
Here's a picture of me with a brief "introduction" to my "Churchill" persona at my reading earlier today at Amy's Place! I only have the "head" part of my costume on, but I do have all the rest like waistcoat, watch chain, bow tie etc. for "full" performances!
I just came back from a most rewarding Father's Day "expressive reading" performance at Amy’s Place in Roswell! This is a wonderful gathering place for those with dementia and their caregivers. I am so pleased I was able to get the great audience to laugh (a lot!). I also did a brief Churchill piece. I am invited back to do a "full" Churchill program in the Fall.
I had the great privilege of being the Speaker on Tuesday evening at the illustrious Buckhead 50 Club where I gave a brief presentation of my life leading up to my "British Voice Talent" activities ending with a short Churchill program. I also introduced the large audience to my Family Legacy Atlanta venture and my search for a Business Partner! I was invited to be speaker by my old friend Michael E. Moore, shown after the event in this photo!
Yesterday I had the great privilege of presenting a D Day program at King's Bridge Retirement Community which included parts of speeches at the time by Churchill, FDR and General Patton. I had a great audience including a lady who showed me her departed husband’s little log book showing his bombing runs over France and Germany including “ON” D-Day in a B-24! WOW! Same lady came up after took both my hands and gave me a kiss me and thanked me for the readings - WOW again! Almost broke down then and now too - just remembering! I feel so blessed to be able to do these "expressive readings" and make these incredible connections!
On this day in 1819 Walt Whitman was born - some people say he was America's greatest poet ! I had the enormous privilege of performing a tribute to him at an expressive reading at Atria Park of Tucker retirement community! I read from many poems from "Leaves of Grass". Here's one of many famous lines it contains:
"I bequeath myself to the dirt to grow from the grass I love,if you want me again look for me under your bootsoles"!
I had a great audience yesterday at Brickmont Assisted Living in Milton for a "Fun" mixture of expressive reading plus some old movie interactive questions (they did great)! This was organized by my dear friend Sue Hamilton, the new Activity Director there! Sue took these pictures including one with a sweet lady Zoe! This will be a regular new community for my readings!
This promises to be an interesting event so all friends in the Atlanta Metro area I hope you might join us (this is not just a "Men's" event this time)!
