The body keeps score, and trauma has a way of resurfacing as mental health struggles, chronic illness, and autoimmune disorders. Healing your inner child matters, but so does healing the adult who had to survive everything. It’s layered work — nervous system repair, emotional regulation, unlearning survival mode, and rebuilding safety inside your own body. This is the part of healing people don’t talk about enough.
