Canyon Lake resident Cayla Roberts, 21, is having to put her dreams of being a firefighter on hold as she battles stage two Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of blood cancer she was diagnosed with in March 2025.

Update: The situation has been resolved and the area is re-opening.

Original Post: The Murrieta Police Department is currently conducting an investigation at Rancho Springs Hospital on Medical Center Drive. At this time, the medical offices are closed and nearby roads have been temporarily shut down to alleviate traffic congestion in and out of the hospital. The Marietta Police Department is asking the community to remain out of the area except for those in need of emergency services.
