‼️SATURDAY EVENING FARM STAND NEWS ‼️

Castro Family Farm had an outbreak of spontaneous fun today at their hosted You-Pick Flower Parties!

From 8:30 this morning until this evening, there was a steady stream of patients in need of a dose of flower-pickin’, bouquet-makin’ medication!

Symptoms included toe-tapping to the music, small doses of iced coffee and lemonade, the intense desire to snip blooms and make bouquets!

Impromptu Friday Night Flower Party, Y’all!

I had so much fun with these beautiful young women!
They brightened my garden with their singing and laughter! They made amazing bouquets full of colorful zinnias and flowy movement using basil and amaranth!

Joy does grow here! My flowers make me smile!
Those that have been to our You-Pick Flower Parties, have heard me say this before: I was not a flowery-girl, I was a practical veggie gardener. I would grow small sections of flowers but they were not my main focus.
Last year, this all changed!

I decided to grow flowers to sell bouquets in the farm stand, and wow! I was overcome with the feeling that I had to share this with others so that they too, could feel this joy! That is why we have you-picks. There is community in cutting flowers and friendships that start from arranging bouquets. I try to make every you-pick event a special experience.

Every petal on every bloom is a wonder. Every bee and butterfly that visits is a welcomed friend.
Every seed that is harvested from a spent flower is a promise of next year’s joy!
