🔥 UNPOPULAR CHICKEN OPINION INCOMING 🔥

Not every chick should’ve been hatched… and not every bird should be bred.

Yeah, I said it. 😅

At Bayou Bantams, we don’t “see what happens.”

We build birds on purpose.

Intentional breeding means:
• Some birds get paired
• Some birds get passed
• Some never see the breeding pen, no matter how “pretty” they are.

Because guess what?

Color without structure is a problem.

Temperament without health is a
problem.

Cute birds that throw trashy offspring? BIG problem.

Everybody loves to brag about “farm‑mixed specials” until the crooked toes, weak chicks, bad lay rates, and nasty attitudes start showing up generation after generation.

You can’t fix a sloppy program with “just one more hatch.”

You fix it with:
• Records
• Ruthless selection
• Long‑term goals
• The guts to say “NO” to the wrong birds

So let’s ruffle some feathers:

Are you TRULY breeding a line…
or just hatching eggs and hoping for the best?

Drop a comment:
“I’m a PROGRAM BUILDER” if you’re intentional
“I’m a HATCH & HOPE” if you’re still figuring it out (no shame, we all started there)
