I’ve never been to a wedding other than when I was a child and for my own wedding..
It is a black tie,, all the men will be wearing tux’s The bride gave permission for my husband to wear his tux from our wedding
I’m lost if dress is appropriate for a wedding.. Personally i wouldn’t care if a guest wore it to mine but mine was semi formal.
Mind you it will be hemmed to fit better.

I’m going to a formal / black tie optional wedding where my husband is one of the groomsmen. I’m having a last minute doubt/panic about the dress I picked…

I decided to go with the magenta dress because it got the most votes among my friends and I love the color and fit on my petite & straight body shape. But now I’m not sure if it’s black tie or even formal enough 😭

My questions are

Does the magenta dress (photo 1&2) show too much cleavage for the dress code?

Does the floral pattern on the strapless dress look too grandma-y? My mom & sister likes it but some of my friends think the pattern gives grandma dress vibe.

Some of my friends said the green dress is too simple. I’m going to jewel up with a simple silver rhinestone belt (5th photo). What do you think? I might not have enough time to get it altered though :(

Is this dress too much for BTO?
I tried on this dress and I like it, but my sister thought it was too much - in her words, “like a wedding dress but in red”. Now I’m overthinking everything. Those of you who have been to a BTO wedding before, would a dress like this stick out too much? I’m a plus one and don’t want to be too overstated.

bridesmaid to weeding in September in Brazil (summer) no specific dress code, need to wear burgundy / Marsala color.
Option 1: love it, just need to adjust the straps
Option 2: my least favorite, the fabric is not so high quality
Option 3: love it but it is not something I will be able to wear a lot (which is ok)

It’s at 4 pm and the venue is STUNNING. Inside modern venue. The only thing the invite said was “semi formal attire.” Which dress is most appropriate? I’m out of my comfort zone here as I’ve lost 160 lbs since January so things aren’t as firm as they used to be 🤣

Are these dresses appropriate for the dress code?
Hello! I have a wedding to attend next weekend and I had my dresses chosen, but my husband isn’t sure if they fit the dress code.

There will be a dinner on the first night where the dress code is cocktail attire. The first photo (light green floral dress) is what I have in mind with black strappy sandal heels. Apologies for the lighting.

The actual wedding is black tie and I have this one shoulder navy blue dress that I plan to match with a silver clutch and silver strappy heels (photo shows gold heels, but I decided on silver). Please excuse the mess as I had just put the baby down for a nap and used this precious time to try on dresses 🤗.

FYI, this is a summer wedding an hour out of NYC. I don’t believe it will be held outside. Please let me know if I need to the mall tomorrow! Thank you.

As the title says, I have a very fancy wedding coming up next summer for a highschool friend. I'm 32 and I suffer from a lot of body image issues. (1) Is this dress code appropriate, and (2) does this look too matronly for my age?
