Question:
What do I need to start learning electronics from scratch?
What I can advise you is to follow these ideas below. If you need a mentor, you can reach out to me:
1. Start with Basics
Learn voltage, current, resistance, Ohm’s Law, and power formulas.
2. Understand Components
Study resistors (color codes), capacitors (types), LEDs, diodes, transistors, and relays.
3. Build Simple Circuits
Use a breadboard to practice basic circuits.
4. Read Schematics
Learning to read and draw circuit diagrams is a must.
5. Use Microcontrollers
Start with Arduino to combine electronics and basic coding.
6. Practice Soldering; you may need it with some DIY projects.
7. Learn Power Supply Basics
Understand AC vs. DC, batteries, and voltage regulation.
8. Build Projects.
Tools to Try: Arduino kits, breadboards, Tinkercad Circuits (simulator) to try a circuit before buying the components.
Use resources like: YouTube, books, and friends.
Start small, stay consistent, and keep experimenting!
I had a great time learning electronics while studying electrical technology, and that helped me so much.
