Part of being a great storyteller is being resourceful. Things you have around your house. Memories that come flooding back. A vision to bring to life. A hidden oasis you’ve created for yourself to do your best work. Literally anything can help tell your stories you just have to open up your creativity.

SHE WHO WALKS BETWEEN THE WORLDS 🌿🦌🌙

Before the world taught women to be quiet, there were women who belonged to the forest.

Women who listened to the whispers of the trees, who knew the language of the wind, and who understood that the earth held a kind of wisdom no kingdom could ever possess.

They were daughters of the moon, keepers of healing, and guardians of the untamed places.

They did not ask the forest for permission to exist.

They simply belonged.

The forest does not apologize when fall strips away its leaves.

The moon does not apologize for changing.

The river does not apologize for carving its own path through land.

And neither should she.

There is a kind of power that comes when a woman stops seeking permission. When she begins honoring her boundaries as sacred ground. When she realizes that her worth was never determined by how well she kept others comfortable.

Perhaps the goddess was never meant to be domesticated.

Perhaps she has always lived in the wild places.

In the woman who rises after heartbreak.
In the woman who chooses herself after years of abandonment.
In the woman who protects her peace as fiercely as she protects those she loves.
In the woman who finally understands that she does not need to be chosen to be powerful.

She only needs to remember.

Remember the earth beneath her feet.
Remember the blood of generations who came before her.
Remember the ancient, untamable spirit that lives within her.

And the forest remembers her name 🌙🍂

I have to admit something 🫣

I had NO IDEA this cutout was in my backyard.

In my defense, I work all day at my computer. As soon as I’m off work I’m going to pick up a kid or get to a game an hour away. The farthest I go is our fenced in part with the dog.

But HOLY MOLY the photos I just took in this cutout 😭

I want to admire them a little longer before I post them.

📸 Trust your photographer — especially during the editing process.

What comes straight out of the camera isn’t always the finished product.

There’s a reason you hired a photographer instead of simply taking a picture with your phone.

The editing process is where I take the image and bring my creative vision into it — adjusting light, color, tones, contrast, skin tones, distractions, and all the little details that help create the final look.

Sometimes an unedited image may look too dark, too flat, too warm, or just… not complete yet.

Please trust that there is intention behind the way I edit your images. I’m not just putting a filter on them and calling it done. I’m creating a consistent look that represents my work and the story I’m trying to tell through your images.
