Our tournament mini vaca was a success. The boys met us towards the end of the week after dad got some loads in. We tried new foods, new drinks, new hotel, and new attractions!

If I can offer a few pieces of advice for parents:

• teach them good grades open their opportunities
• show them different jobs. Not every kid wants to go to college and not every kid wants to do a trade

BUT the more they know about, the more options they have to choose from to find what’s right for them.

Smiling to hide the frustration that is Perfect Game 😅

Friday — 150 miles round trip with gas at nearly $4 a gallon. PG knew it would rain but kept it on the schedule anyway. Cancelled less than an hour after paying to get in.

Saturday — got to the middle of Atlanta with diesel at nearly $5 a gallon to be told games were cancelled.

Sunday — drove 150 miles round trip again. Got in 1 game but after a 5 hour wait the second game was cancelled.

Today — got out of the shower at 5:45am to a “cancelled game, tournament is officially over message”. On our only day off work 😭

I could’ve told you the tournament was cancelled for the weekend on Friday just by looking at the weather forecast!

It’s Monday — starting off strong with a load we know goes well with a quick turn around and gets us back home.

Not every trucking job fits every driver and that’s okay.

There’s no “best” trucking job — only the one that fits YOUR life, YOUR goals, and YOUR family.

Some jobs pay more.
Some get you home more.
Some give you freedom.
Some give you stability.

At the end of the day, every trucker keeps this country moving 🇺🇸🚛

Yesterday for Mothers Day we didn’t have work or sports to be at so we finally played pickleball together. I can understand the hype now. It was fun being together and doing something new with each other!

Major roadwork will have northbound and southbound shutdown between exit 9 and exit 7 on 285 from Friday night at 7pm to Monday morning at 5am.
