Marvel’s Wolverine is selling WAY more than expected! 🐺

Despite the mixed reviews and all the online controversy, Marvel’s Wolverine reportedly sold around 1.9 MILLION copies on PS5 in its first three days, according to Alinea Analytics.

Even more interesting? 22.9% of its revenue reportedly came from physical copies, while the majority came from digital sales.

And Wolverine players are heavily connected to other Marvel and PlayStation games, with 82% reportedly having played Marvel’s Spider-Man and 70% having played Spider-Man 2.

So despite all the criticism surrounding Marvel’s Wolverine… gamers are clearly still buying it.

Wardogs just sold 2 million copies in 5 days on Steam. Bulkhead Interactive needed 400,000 to keep the studio alive. Their previous game, Battalion 1944, sold 250,000 lifetime. Wardogs peaked at 428,666 concurrent players and is sitting at Very Positive on Steam, making it one of the biggest tactical FPS launches of 2026.

Marvel’s Wolverine just launched on PS5, and the reviews are split hard.

Metacritic sits around 78 while some critics scored it a 6 and others called it one of the best games of the year. Beyond the combat and pacing complaints, a few reviewers flagged technical issues too: animation glitches when Logan gets stuck in tight corners, at least one softlock that forced a checkpoint reload, and GameBlast called out what they described as an unusual number of bugs for a Sony exclusive. The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 is official, releasing October 29, 2026. This is the first Switch 2 special edition console Nintendo has designed.

The Zelda Switch 2 features green Joy-Con 2 with Triforce patterns and gold accents around the sticks, a black and gold dock with the Triforce front and center, and a full gold Triforce across the back of the console.

A matching Zelda Switch 2 Pro Controller launches the same day with green and black handles, gold shoulder buttons, and a Hylian crest, along with a 40th Anniversary carrying case and screen protector. Nintendo has not announced a US price or a pre-order date yet.

Zelda Ocarina of Time remake for Nintendo Switch 2 is official. Release date is November 5, 2026. The gameplay and the new graphics look incredible, especially Kokiri Forest and Hyrule Castle Town.

What’s new in the Ocarina of Time remake: a real jump button, full camera control, swimming and diving, a quest log called Threads of Time, full voice acting for every cutscene, and you can hum into the Switch 2 microphone to play ocarina songs. Nintendo also kept the loading screens between regions on purpose to preserve the feel of the original.

Blizzard is teasing a new StarCraft game ahead of BlizzCon 2026, and the rumor says shooter, not StarCraft 3.

The official StarCraft site started glitching this week. Twitching images, flashing text, and now the page fakes a failed transmission before it crashes. Fans also found an unaccounted hour on the BlizzCon main stage schedule for day one.

Korean outlet Chosun reports Nexon is closing a deal to develop a new StarCraft. Here’s what most people are missing: Nexon owns Embark Studios, the team behind ARC Raiders and The Finals. So a Nexon StarCraft shooter is not automatically a cash grab. Nobody has confirmed Embark is the studio on it though.

Blizzard also dropped a surprise StarCraft 2 balance patch in June and is giving away a free co-op XP boost for BlizzCon. That’s a lot of movement on a franchise that’s been quiet since 2017.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is getting monthly limits on Game Pass starting in November. Essential gets 5 hours a month, Premium gets 10, and Ultimate gets 15. Run out and you buy more hours from the Xbox Store, though Xbox has not announced pricing yet.

One actual win: people who do not subscribe to Game Pass can now buy cloud gaming hours to stream games they already own. Microsoft says the change affects about 4 percent of subscribers and points to rising infrastructure costs.

Ultimate got more expensive this year and cloud streaming was part of the pitch. Now it has a meter on it. Are you anywhere near 15 hours a month?

Metro 2039 just showed three minutes of gameplay and it looks awesome.

You’re not playing Artyom this time. You’re The Stranger, a former Spartan with a dark past, climbing out of the tunnels into a ruined Moscow with a storm rolling in. The filter countdown watch is back, so every minute on the surface costs you.

Combat is stealth or loud, your call. Silenced Shatun r***e headshots, the Duplet sh***un, Molotovs, and a new breaching charge that blows straight through walls. There’s also a dental clinic mutant encounter and a mystery UV gadget nobody can explain yet.

The footage was captured exclusively on PS5 Pro, and 4A confirmed ray tracing at 60fps on both PS5 and PS5 Pro. First Metro built for ray tracing from the ground up.

Sony wants $85 for the GTA 6 Limited Edition DualSense controller. And it will still sell out.

Two colors, black and white, iridescent purple accents, Vice City palm leaves etched into the shell. Same haptics and adaptive triggers as a standard DualSense, so you’re paying about ten bucks extra for the design.

Pre-orders open September 10 at 10am local. They release November 19, same day as GTA 6. Black may be PlayStation Direct only depending on your region, white hits regular retailers.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword reviews are in and Capcom did it again.

The first new Onimusha game in over 20 years just landed an 86 on Metacritic and a perfect 10 from IGN. You’re playing as Miyamoto Musashi, fighting demons through Edo period Kyoto, with deep flexible combat that critics are calling “a sublime mix of classic Capcom action and physical swordfighting.”

It’s not flawless - the mini-bosses get repetitive and the difficulty spikes mid-game but the boss fights, the story, and the overall experience more than make up for it.

This is Capcom’s fourth hit of 2026. Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Stories 3, Pragmata, and now Onimusha. One studio. One year.
