Xbox is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026 with a brand new console reveal: the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition.

Microsoft unveiled a translucent OG green version of the Xbox Series X along with a matching Special Edition wireless controller, bringing back the see-through early-2000s aesthetic of the original Xbox era.

The console keeps the signature blocky Series X design but adds the nostalgic translucent green finish. The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition is set to launch later this year, reportedly around November 2026. No pricing or print run details have been confirmed yet.

Kingdom Hearts IV just got a brand new gameplay trailer at the June 2026 Nintendo Direct, the first major look at the game in four years.

Square Enix confirmed Kingdom Hearts 4 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 at launch, alongside PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The new trailer shows Sora in Quadratum, a gritty realistic city inspired by Shibuya Tokyo, featuring massive kaiju-scale battles and a completely new art direction for the franchise.

No release date was confirmed yet, but native Switch 2 versions of the older Kingdom Hearts collections are also coming with save transfer. Thoughts 👇

Nintendo officially confirmed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake at the June 2026 Nintendo Direct, coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

The reveal trailer showed a cinematic look at Link in the Kokiri Forest with a brand new art direction that moves away from the Breath of the Wild style.

This is the second full remake of the N64 classic following Ocarina of Time 3D. No exact release date confirmed yet.

Fans are already divided over the newly announced God of War game. 👀🔥

Sony officially revealed the next chapter in the God of War franchise, but this time the spotlight shifts away from Kratos and focuses on Faye, also known as Laufey. The new game appears to explore events before God of War (2018), while introducing a faster combat system, more magic-based gameplay, massive cinematic boss fights, and hints at entirely new mythologies beyond the Norse saga.

Some fans believe this is exactly what PlayStation needed to evolve one of gaming’s biggest franchises after God of War Ragnarök. Others think removing Kratos from the main role could completely change what made the series iconic in the first place.

Either way, this might be Sony Santa Monica’s biggest risk yet and one of the most talked about PS5 games already.

This is NOT Yoshi’s Island. Good-Feel (the Yoshi’s Crafted World + Kirby’s Epic Yarn studio) leaned hard into cozy creature-discovery - bubble-wand critters, jellyfish jetpacks, a drill-nosed warthog you can RIDE. The whole game looks like a living storybook.

My take: incredible first playthrough, probably forgettable second. But the art alone is worth a look.

Subnautica 2 just pulled off one of the biggest survival game launches in years. The Subnautica 2 Early Access release sold 1 million copies in the first hour and 2 million within 12 hours - on PC and Xbox only, with no PlayStation 5 version yet. Steam concurrent players peaked at 467,582, and over 651,000 across Steam, Epic, and Xbox combined. That’s roughly 9x the original Subnautica’s all-time peak.

And it happened despite a year of legal war between developer Unknown Worlds and publisher Krafton over a $250 million bonus. The game everyone thought was dead just broke records on day one.

Best Buy just leaked the GTA 6 preorder date and it’s happening Monday, May 18th 👀 An affiliate email from Best Buy revealed a “GTA 6 Pre Order (Physical Game)” campaign running May 18-21, and Insider Gaming verified the emails are real. Take-Two’s earnings call is May 21st, the same day the campaign ends. Trailer 3 might be closer than we think.

Ubisoft buried $500,000 in real treasure in the Caribbean to promote Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced 💰

The chest holds $350K in minted gold coins and a $150K crystal skull with a red opal - a real-life replica of Edward Kenway’s treasure from the game.

To play, you pay $40 minimum for the “Gold & Crystal” hunt, solve 15 riddles, and pinpoint the exact location in the Caribbean. First person to guess gets flown out and handed a shovel.

The catch? Ubisoft says the hunt could take up to 5 YEARS to solve. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced launches July 9, 2026 - the treasure hunt kicks off November 9.

Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake leaked for Nintendo Switch 2?!

The same insider who called Star Fox before Nintendo announced it also claimed Zelda the Ocarina of Time Remake is coming.

Another leaker let out that it is being rebuilt from scratch and apparently in development since 2022, possibly with Monolith Soft, and rumored for a June Nintendo Direct reveal with a late 2026 launch.

Apparently there’s also a brand new 2D Zelda quietly in the works at Grezzo, codenamed “Bernard” and the codename pattern (Richard = Link, Edward = Zelda) has fans convinced the next protagonist is finally Ganondorf.

Star Fox already proved this leaker right. Is Ocarina of Time next?
