I had a resident with their kids come up to Meredith and I and say, "Thank you for getting involved and standing up." That moment with the parents and kids meant so much to me. It is crucial that we show our children that any resident should stand up for their community and be respectfully vocal.

Technology has the potential to be a burden for our children, as it can intimidate independent voices. We need to address the power that internet algorithms have over what we think and how we think, and encourage independent thinking, research, and journalism.

We went through 100 yard signs just at the last event, and we are bringing more to this one. If you can’t make it to this event but still have questions or want to show your support, please email me at [email protected] to request a yard sign, ask questions, or just say hi.

Vote Scott by April 1st! Early voting is now open at the Algonquin Township Office and the Cary Park District Community Center.

❄️Some December Madness Today at the Hillstriders March Madness Half Marathon.

This event features an official USA Track & Field course navigating our beautiful village. No matter the weather, it’s always a fun tradition. It was great to meet up with some old friends and make some new ones.

They featured 25 VIP student entries today for a scholarship they provide to McHenry County high schools—giving young runners a step up!

Thank you to Public Works, Police, Fire, EMS, and volunteers for securing the roadways and keeping everyone on the right track.
