**July 10:** While everyone was focused on politics, **5,361 clemency petitions were denied.**

**Forty-eight people on the Freedom Grow clemency list were among those denied.**

**Another 12 Freedom Grow applicants had already been denied in January.**

Among those denied on **July 10** were:

- Juan Cisneros — LIFE
- Parker Coleman — 60 years
- Pedro Moreno — LIFE
- Malik Sessoms — 72 months
- Gilberto Valadez — 188 months
- Allen Woods — 180 months
- Michael Woods — LIFE

This is heartbreaking for the prisoners, their families, and everyone who has spent years advocating for their release.

At this point, we have no way of knowing why these petitions were denied. The clemency process does not publicly explain the reasons behind individual decisions.

These are just seven of the 48 Freedom Grow applicants whose petitions were denied that day.

Another day. Another cannabis arrest.
A 41-year-old Texas woman was arrested after a traffic stop and charged with possessing less than two ounces of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
Think about that for a second.
In 2026, police officers spent time conducting a traffic stop, making an arrest, transporting someone to jail, completing paperwork, booking them into jail, and beginning the court process... over a plant that is legal in much of the country.
Meanwhile, violent crimes continue to happen every day, and law enforcement resources are limited.
Whether you support legalization or not, it's fair to ask:
Is this really the best use of taxpayer dollars?
Cannabis laws shouldn't depend on what side of a state line you're standing on.

Three men.

Three 🌱 cases.

Three men held without bond.

Max Leidermann. Eric Cha. Richard Wesley Marshall.

None have been convicted. Yet they remain behind bars while their cases move through the federal system.

Whether you support cannabis legalization or not, ask yourself:

Should non-violent 🌱defendants be held without bond for years before trial?

Justice should never depend on politics.

Trent Boudida was 30 years old when he was sentenced to 16.25 years in prison after being convicted on four 🌱-related counts involving a total of one ounce.

He went to trial three times. The first two ended in mistrials. After the third trial, he was convicted. Because of his juvenile record, he was sentenced as an adult and received 11.25 years for the ma*****na charges, plus 5 consecutive years tied to his prior.

Whether you agree with 🌱 or not, does this punishment fit the crime?

These are the stories that deserve to be heard.

Share Trent’s story. The more people who see it, the harder it is to ignore.

A 71-year-old man is behind bars for growing cannabis.

According to his family, Oliver Lippy couldn’t afford dispensary prices, so he grew his own medicine. Now, instead of spending his later years at home, he’s facing the consequences of a cannabis arrest.

In 2026, this is still happening.

While communities face violent crime, trafficking, and countless other public safety challenges, a 71-year-old cannabis grower is being treated like a threat.

Frank Rogers is in federal prison for cannabis. While the industry celebrates reform, people are still serving decades—and even life—for cannabis.

These men aren’t serving life sentences for hurting.

They’re serving life sentences for cannabis.

While laws have changed across much of the country, some people are still paying with the rest of their lives.

Authorities in Sri Lanka arrested 22 Buddhist monks at an international airport after allegedly discovering hundreds of pounds of cannabis hidden in luggage. The case is under investigation.

30 years for cannabis.

Enis Djurkovic says he feels “buried alive” inside a federal prison, surrounded by violent offenders, while corporations now make billions from the same plant.

He admits he broke the law. He accepts punishment. But 30 years for ma*****na?

He says 96 co-defendants are home, and he is the only one still behind bars.

This is what injustice looks like when punishment outlives common sense.

Non-violent cannabis prisoners are still serving decades while the industry profits.
