Teachers,

As tiring as it is to go back to work and back to your routine after two weeks off, your students are glad you showed up.

Yes, they were more talkative than normal, but who knows what their last two weeks entailed. Some students couldn’t wait to share their stories from break, while others are just happy to be back.

Some of them have been counting down until school started back up because it’s their safe place.

It’s so easy to get wrapped up in your emotions during the instructional day, but at the end of the day, they are just kids. Kids who look up to you.

Just remember, take it one day at a time. 🤍
