This was a fun one! Julia Alsarraf brought in this record player and weird, old dynamic mic, which we ran through Chrystalizer to create some trippy background elements for one of her songs. I think it ended up being one of my favorite moments on the record!

Is this how you mic an electric guitar?

If you've worked with me before, you probably know I love weird gear and using it to get unique sounds and textures, so when Julia Alsarraf brought in this crazy guitar with a built-in speaker, you know we were going to find a use for it! I think I had to add something insane like 40dB of low end to it, but it sounded incredibly cool!
