The HAFTR Tattler HAFTR High School's Award-Winning Online Student Newspaper

Established more than 30 years ago, The Tattler has been run entirely by our students. The stories featured in the publication are written, photographed and edited by HAFTR students. In 2010, after a brief hiatus, The Tattler was revived. In 2012, The Tattler began publishing online.

Long Island High School Commissions "Menorah of Missiles"

HAFTR High School has received a special kind of spotlight this Chanukah season. Our front lawn's newest edition, a stunning menorah comprised of qassam rockets fired from Gaza into Israel, has garnered a lot of attention.

Student Spotlight: Freshman

2015 Staff Application

Have you ever wanted to be a part of an award wining publication? If so, you maybe a great fit for "The Tattler".

We are looking for dedicated students who are interested in writing, marketing, multimedia, or graphic/web design.

If you are interested, we will be holding writing tryouts on October 12 at 5:15 (room TBA). All applicants, regardless of desired position, should attend (please sign up online in advance as well).

Tonight, HAFTR High School held its annual DEAH/Honor Society induction ceremony. Students were inducted into various honor societies including National Honor Society, Foreign Language, Chesed and Principals' Honor Roll.

HAFTR High will host its annual spring blood drive tomorrow, April 27, from 12-6pm in the Gym. Students 16 and older can donate with permission from a guardian.

Please donate if you can!


Please be aware that the Color War schedule has been changed and the finale will be during periods 1 and 2. Period 3 will be a regular scheduled class. There will be regular dress code for tomorrow.
