🏗️ CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Celina Shops at Light Farms

Four buildings, one district, and a lot of new retail on the way at the 3500 block of Dallas Parkway.

📍 Location: S. Dallas Pkwy & Light Farms Way
📐 Scale: 4+ Separate Buildings, 40,000+ SF
🚧 Status: Different Stages of Construction

There is a lot of concurrent progress ongoing at this strip, with at least 4 new mixed-use buildings at various stages of construction, ranging from foundation work to structural steel. Each is zoned for retail, restaurant, and commercial use, so we will be looking at over a dozen new shops and food spots opening up in the next year or so.

Tenant information is currently limited as the shells are currently in leasing and pre-leasing stages, but based on existing site plans, these are the only confirmed tenants to date:

- Margarita Hut
- World Champion Taekwondo

We're tracking leasing activity at all four buildings closely, and we'll have individual announcements as tenants get confirmed. This one's going to be worth watching.

🦮 NOW OPEN: Hometown Paws

Hometown Paws received their Certificate of Occupancy on Friday the 28th and left no time to waste because they officially opened their doors at 6:30AM this morning.

🏆 Status: Open & Operating

Hometown Paws is a boutique dog daycare and boarding resort, not your standard kennel setup. They offer daycare from 6:30AM to 7:00PM on weekdays, overnight boarding seven days a week, and spa services on top of that. Their new facility is located next to Tractor Supply on Oklahoma St. and online booking is now available as well, so if you've got a trip coming up, be sure to check out Hometown Paws.

Celina's first Costco officially opens its doors tomorrow!

The Costco Gasoline station has already been open since August 12th, giving members an early preview of what's to come. Now the main warehouse is just 1 day away. Bulk groceries, electronics, appliances, clothing, tires, and pharmacy services are all coming under one roof, and this is one of the most anticipated openings in Celina's history.

Per Costco's current membership promotion, new members can take advantage of a limited-time offer. Enroll in auto-renewal on an annual membership and receive a $40 Digital Costco Shop Card as a new Executive Member, or a $20 Digital Costco Shop Card as a new Gold Star or Business Member. Offer expires September 27th, 2026.

Burn Boot Camp is joining the growing lineup at Heritage Business Park, adding another fitness option to the N. This will be a new location for the brand in Celina, giving members another spot to train close to home.

Home Depot's Grand Opening Celebration kicks off tonight, and the doors officially open tomorrow.

🏆 Status: Now Open

Tonight (Wednesday, 6–9 PM), stop by for door giveaways, exclusive deals, refreshments, a free kids workshop, games and prizes, and a special appearance by Homer. Store hours Thursday run 6 AM to 10 PM, with more giveaways, food trucks from 11 AM to 2 PM, vendor demos, and a live radio broadcast throughout the day.

Celina now has a second full-service home improvement option, and it's celebrating in style.
