TMNP (Texas-New Mexico Power) is holding public hearings on March 22, 2022, and March 24, 2022 in Pilot Point from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Midway Church 9540 U.S. 377 Pilot Point.
These public hearings are to get input on routes of 138 KV Transmission lines through the Celina area.
This is the time to see proposed routes and to give comment. The City of Celina is actively involved in the process but if you are a landowner you need to be aware of proposed routes.
Took a quick Sunday stroll to Bonham’s North Texas Safari Park! This place is so clean, so organized and great for an afternoon with the kids!
They have a good variety of animals you can see….Twp-Toed Sloths (my favorite…her name is Opal!), Alpacas, Camels, Giraffe (we fed Baxter), Kangaroos (which are SO soft!!), Llamas, Wildebeast, Zebra, and much much more. You get feed for the majority of the animals when you get to the gate but take $5-10 cash so you can get some lettuce to feed the giraffes.
Highly recommend! And invite me when you go! 🙂

We had the privilege of sitting down for an interview with Kelly from Celina, Texas. Kelly's late husband, Martin Engelbert, passed away in November of 2021 after his courageous battle against cancer.
Martin was the first paid Fire Chief of the Celina Fire Department. He was an integral part of bringing the Department from a volunteer operation in a small Texas town to where it is today. Martin's legacy will live on through his loving family and with the incredible community found with Neighbors United.

Let’s be honest, most people get online to look for information they need, connect with people and entertain themselves. That’s just the reality of today’s world. For example, 99 percent of millennials and 89 percent of baby boomers search online when they are looking for information. And that was before the pandemic!
Also, the full impact of COVID-19 to the print advertising business model is starting to become more clear. Based on various public and private sources, we know COVID had a dramatic effect on magazines with print advertising down well over 25% in 2020.
People who recognize new trends and prepare for them will emerge stronger from the disruption. Things are unlikely to return to the way they were before the pandemic, unfortunately, so it makes sense to be prepared for the new normal. And that’s what we are doing!
Brands will be more mindful about how the pandemic has changed the way its customers consume content. Plus, print advertising is expensive. It also doesn’t provide the depth of information or the engagement measurement that an online ad campaign does.
In our research, in 2020, US advertisers spent more on digital advertising ($151.29 billion) than traditional advertising—print, TV, and radio ($107.13 billion) (Wagner, 2019).
In contrast, at the same time, digital advertising experienced a significant recovery in 2021. Major print outlets who transferred to a digital format were up approximately 43% in YTD Sept 2021. [Source: Public filings].

Coupled with visually striking designs and user-friendly navigation tools, it’s no wonder why digital media has gained so much traction in the past two decades.
• Digital content is highly accessible and can be quickly shared with anyone, anywhere. Who doesn’t have a cell phone, tablet or computer accessible at all times?
• Unlike print, digital is enviro-friendly as paper and ink materials are not used.
• Analytics offer valuable insights into content usage patterns, allowing publishers to understand their readers on a more granular level. Knowledge like this is crucial for optimizing future content, or helping advertisers promote their content more efficiently by providing useful data. The reports we can provide are invaluable for business partners. Digital response, read rate and viewership is measured and can be relayed in a transparent way to our business partners.
• Content is ever changing- monthly printing is often out of date by the time it’s printed and distributed.

The likelihood of a resident or consumer opening one magazine is high, with two magazines, that likelihood decreases. Bring that total to five and there is just no way the consumer base will support five magazines in a community of less than 30,000 residents, no matter the content.

We are so blessed that we started this magazine over 4 years ago when the town was just starting the growth and we have been able to grow WITH the community. We are a trusted source and we have a very loyal following. We know this because our online numbers are real and factual. We post them regularly. We also have a large readership outside of our mailing area. I receive messages weekly from folks in Prosper, McKinney and Frisco who are active on our page. These are YOUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS!!!!!
