Pretty tiles are even better when the little extras are thoughtful. 💙

The Amalfi set from Mahjong Atelier has the prettiest navy, blue, yellow, and white layers. Mine came with four tile guides so everyone at the table has one, matching yellow dice, and a sample of their Terra tile. I love getting to see another set before buying it.

Across two left passes, you can send someone a pair one tile at a time. That doesn’t mean they need it. It gives you something to weigh alongside what your own hand is building.

Try the two passing options in this carousel. Which would you choose, and what would you be keeping? Your full rack and card matter. The point is to practice explaining your choice.

American mahjong joker rules come down to the group and the timing.

Singles and pairs need natural tiles, and a joker exchange happens during your turn.

The detail worth keeping: if an exchanged joker completes mahjong, that win counts as self-picked, even after a legal call and completed exposure.
