ECSO UPDATE: 50-year-old Jennifer Underwood was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with murder after her husband's body was found in their Guyton home.

Additional information and charges will be released on this situation after the investigation concludes.

HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND:
The City has closed the following chemically untreated splashpads: Hudson Hill, Live Oak, Victory Heights, Avondale, Hull Park, Tatemville, Forest Hills and Crusader. The Ellis Square, Forsyth Park, and Savannah Gardens splashpads remain open and safe for the public to use. City operated pools at the Tompkins Regional Center, W.W. Law Regional Center, and Daffin Park remain open and safe to use

ARREST MADE IN JULY HOMICIDE CASE

The Hinesville Police Department announces the arrest of Savahn Wilson-Davis in connection with the July 15, 2025, homicide of Lakretia Clancy on Strickland Road in Hinesville.

Wilson-Davis was taken into custody without incident by the United States Marshals Service at an undisclosed location in Long County, Georgia. He faces several felony charges, including felony murder.

This arrest is the result of coordinated efforts between our department, the U.S. Marshals Service, and other law enforcement partners.

We remain committed to seeking justice for victims and their families.

Wilson-Davis is currently being held at the Liberty County Jail, awaiting his first court appearance.

Happening Now ‼️ WTOC-TV is on Dean Forrest road where according to the Chatham County Sheriff’s office say they are searching for an individual. They describe them as “highly aggravated felony suspect” who is on foot in the woods near Dean Forest Road. They says the suspect is a known gang member. Multiple jurisdictions are assisting in the search. There are law-enforcement cars sprinkled throughout Ogeechee Road in what appears to be creating a perimeter around the wooded area that they believe the suspect is in.
