Some of my favorite memories have been made around tables that cost almost nothing to put together.
Folding tables borrowed from the garage. Painters drop cloths instead of expensive linens. Mismatched plates collected over the years. Grocery store flowers divided into little jars. Sparkling water bottles doubling as décor.
The truth is, creating a beautiful gathering space has very little to do with how much you spend and everything to do with making people feel welcome.
I think we’ve convinced ourselves that we need the “perfect” patio, the matching dishes, or the Pinterest-worthy setup before we invite people over. But some of the sweetest evenings happen when you simply work with what you have and open your gate anyway.
This carousel is full of my favorite little hosting hacks that make a big impact without a big budget. I hope it inspires you to set the table, string up the lights, and gather your people this summer.
Because at the end of the day, no one remembers if your plates matched.
They remember how they felt sitting around your table. 🤍
Tell me… what’s one thing you always include when you’re hosting?
