The perfect neutral paint color! What’s not to love about Ballet White.

This paint color is creamy without feeling too yellow, warm but not beige and has the slightest hint of gray for softness.

It’s a great choice for any room in the house. With an LRV (Light Reflective Value) of 72 it’s light enough to use in north facing rooms or spaces without a lot of natural light but won’t feel washed out in sunny rooms.

For trim or woodwork pair with soft whites like Steam (another one of my go-to shades!)

Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray vs. Revere Pewter First, let me just say that Edgecomb Gray has grey undertones but if you’re expecting GRAY you’re going to be disappointed.

It’s definitely more on the beige side with a slight flash of green. Warm and inviting, it’s dark enough not to look washed out in rooms with good natural light. In north facing rooms, this shade will warm up your space without feeling too heavy. Revere Pewter is darker and moodier - perfect for making larger well lit rooms more intimate or for creating cozy bedrooms.

In most lights, Revere Pewter will look gray/beige leaning towards the gray/green spectrum. However, in certain west facing rooms it may flash a bit pink/beige.

TIP: Both these shades look stunning on kitchen cabinets if you’re looking for that trendy modern cottage/farmhouse “mushroom” tone. For trim and woodwork, I love these shades paired with a crisp white like Chantilly Lace or Steam if you’re looking for a softer contrast.

Boothbay Gray is a beautiful shade of mid-tone gray with a blue/green undertone reminiscent of sea glass.

In north facing rooms, the cooler blue tones will shine through while in southern and western facing rooms Boothbay Gray will lean slightly into a smokey green.

Pair with shades of linen, taupe, charcoal and accent with slate or teal. For woodwork and trim, try a crisp white like Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace or a slightly softer shade like Steam (one of my favorites!).
