Love the color - hate the name.

Why do I love Classic Gray but HATE the name? It’s a warm light gray but in most spaces it will actually read more taupe with a gray undertone than a true gray.

Classic Gray won’t feel too cold even in north facing rooms but really shines in west or south facing rooms where it will look more “greige” because of warmer natural light. It’s fresh and light without feeling drab.

For woodwork, trim, or doors, pair Classic Gray with a crisp white like Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace or a softer, more taupe white shade like Cloud Cover.

In adjoining spaces like the bedroom, use a gentle blue/gray with a hint of green like Benjamin Moore Quiet Moments. It’s one of my favorites for creating relaxing spaces.

My paint color pick for airy understated coastal spaces?

Comment COAST to see why I love Moore Woodlawn Blue and how I would style it.��Woodlawn Blue is a beautiful soft blue/green with a hint of grey for softness. This airy shade is perfect for coastal or cottage spaces and will look beautiful in bedrooms, living rooms or bathrooms.

In south facing spaces or rooms with a lot of natural light it will appear more green than blue. In north facing rooms without a lot of natural light Woodlawn Blue will give off a calming blue/gray tone.

On woodwork, trim, cabinets or door pair Woodlawn Blue with Benjamin Moore Simply White - a soft warm white with a creamy undertone.

Benjamin Moore Wedgewood Gray. Love the color - hate the name.

Why? This shade is actually more of a mixture of a mid tone blue and green with a slight gray undertone.

Where wouId we use it?

We love it in the bedroom - especially south or west facing where the blue tones cool off the space in the evening and create an airy and calm atmosphere.

It’s also beautiful on an a front door or exterior shutters against warm white walls.

Pair Wedgewood Gray with a soft white like Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee, moody shades of slate or blue/gray like Benjamin Moore Knoxville Gray, and pumpkin tones like Benjamin Moore Butterfor a splash of color.

The perfect natural paint color?

What’s not to love about Ballet White��This paint color is creamy without feeling too yellow, warm but not beige and has the slightest hint of gray for softness. It’s a great choice for any room in the house.

With an LRV (Light Reflective Value) of 72 it’s light enough to use in north facing rooms or spaces without a lot of natural light but won’t feel washed out in sunny rooms. For trim or woodwork pair with soft whites like Steam (another one of my go-to shades!)

My go-to white paint color?

Steam AF-15. Why is it a shade of white I recommend the most?

Steam strikes the perfect balance between warm and cool. It’s creamy with out being yellow, has a slight gray undertone that keeps it soft without looking muddy, and is versatile enough to pair with almost any other color or design style.

Use Steam on walls if you’re looking for a white that won’t feel stark and cold or on kitchen cabinets if you’re looking for a subtle hint of color.

Three Benjamin Moore wall paint color neutral beige picks for traditional spaces? Check out these warm go-with-anything shades.

Benjamin Moore Manchester Tan HC-81: This warm golden beige is hefty enough to stand up in rooms with a lot of natural light but will look just as warm and soft in north facing rooms. Pair with warm woods like cherry and mahogany. For trim, woodwork and doors pair with a soft white like Benjamin Moore White Dove. For accents try moody blues or teals.

Benjamin Moore Jute AF-80: A warm golden beige with hints of grey, Jute can sometimes flash a slight green making it the perfect compliment to oak floors or cabinets. For trim or woodwork pair with a creamy white like Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee.

Benjamin Moore Shaker Beige HC-45: This warm golden brown is the darkest of the three shades on my list - perfect for creating cozy spaces. With a slight orange flash, it is also the warmest. For trim or woodwork pair with a soft white like BenjaminMoore Cloud White. Balance the warmth of this shade by accenting in dark moody greens, charcoal or slate blue.

Kitchen cabinet color pick!

Nantucket Gray HC-111

First, let’s talk about the name. If you’re expecting GRAY you will be disappointed.

Benjamin Moore Nantucket Gray is an earthy midi-tone khaki green with a soft brown/gray undertone and a HINT of gray that pairs well with wood tones, brass, marble, travertine and terra cotta flooring.

This warm shade is perfect for creating inviting modern cottage and farmhouse kitchens, is neutral enough to be versatile and won’t feel heavy even in smaller spaces with less light.

For walls try pair with either Benjamin Moore Gray Mist OC-30 for a well lit spaces or Swiss Coffee OC-45 for kitchens with less natural light. Both of these soft whites are creamy with a hint of gray and can flash slightly green which makes them a beautiful complement to wood tones, brass, and marble.

For trim, doors, and molding, Benjamin Moore Steam is a soft white that won’t feel stark or cold but is not overly creamy.
