Why Haven’t You Heard from Your School Yet? Don’t worry, it’s not because they don’t miss you! 😉

North Carolina’s public school districts, including us here at CHCCS, recently transitioned to a brand new student information system (called “Infinite Campus”). While it comes with lots of great features (more on that in August), it also means we are moving a lot of data behind the scenes. The sync with our email mass-messaging system was completed this week, so principals (who have been eager to reach out to you) now have most of what they need to begin communicating to their 2025-26 families.

⚠️ Note: We say principals have “most of what they need” (instead of “all of what they need”) because some details are still being cleaned up. For example, new student registration opened less than two weeks ago, and some schools are waiting to send their first “Welcome” message to ensure that as many new families as possible are included (at last check the new-student-registration team was down to 300 more forms to process.) Another example may involve a relatively small number of issues where students aren’t yet synced to the proper school. We’re working on all of that. This is new for us (and many other districts in North Carolina) and we want to get it right.

Thanks for your patience during this tech upgrade! (Our work on this is ongoing. Data will be synced again every night as more new students are registered/enrolled.)
