As Coach Sayer has fulfilled his time as the Interim Head Coach of FDHS Baseball, the Fort Dorchester athletic family would like to congratulate him on a fantastic 2025 season and acknowledge all the hard work and dedication he and his staff have put in over his 9 seasons total as the head coach of the Patriots. Ronnie, a 2003 graduate, played two years on JV, and two years on varsity with the Patriots. Coach Sayer served as an assistant coach under Jack Radcliffe for several seasons. Ronnie spent 3 years as the head coach at Stall high school before accepting the head coach position at Fort Dorchester in 2016 and remained the full-time head coach until stepping down after 2023 season to be more available to his family and young children. Under coach Sayer’s tenure he helped lead the Patriots to a 2019 region title and HIT tournament championship bringing him to 110 wins at the Fort. This makes Coach Sayer only the 2nd coach in school history to reach that milestone. In 2025 the Patriots won 21 games, the most since 2000, an East Coast Invitational tournament championship, and defeated Summerville 4 times in 5 games which is a first in school history. Thank you Coach Sayer for a memorable 2025 and career spanning over 25 years in the Fort Dorchester baseball program.
The FDHS Athletic Dept and Coach Sayer himself are excited to see what the future holds for Patriot Baseball.
