To Much Oil On Your Scalp May Suffocate Your Pores And Stunt Growth

Dirt, debris, oil, and other products can collect and grow bacteria on the hair shaft, like a foreign object. When debris and natural oils mix they can weaken the hair follicles. While it is important to oil the scalp to prevent scalp dryness, to much oil over an extended period of time can block and suffocate the pores on your scalp ,and can eventually lead to hair loss and unhealthy shedding. Heavy oil don't only way your hair down they also can irritate your scalp and block your pores. If you are going to use oil make sure that you are mixing heavy oils like castor oil with lighter oils like coconut oil, almond oil, grape seed oil, or avocado oil.

She’s one to watch!

At just 24, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden sprinted into history at the U.S. Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, winning both the 100m and 200m. She ran a personal-best 10.65 in the 100m—the fastest time in the world this year and fifth-fastest ever—and 21.84 in the 200m, becoming the first woman since 2003 to sweep the sprint double.

Her victories secured her spot on the U.S. team for the World Athletics Championships this September in Tokyo. “I’ve been dreaming of days like this… the sky is the limit,” she said.

Happy Birthday to business leader, engineer and former astronaut Joan Higginbotham!

A former NASA astronaut, Joan flew aboard Space Shuttle Discovery mission STS-116 as a mission specialist in 2006, making her the third African-American woman to go into space, after Mae Jemison and Stephanie Wilson.
