Cody Overton has taken over as owner-driver of Dave Steine’s Tri Star Promotions team entering his third World of Outlaws Late Model season.

Rebranded as Cody Overton Racing, the Evans, Ga., driver still carries support from Baldwin, Wis.’s Steine while welcoming longtime team owner Bruce Kane of Glen Burnie, Md., and former Texas racer Allen Murray as backers.

Owning a dirt track isn’t just a business move — it’s a lifelong dream. Racing has been in his blood for as long as he can remember. The smells, the sounds, the late nights at the track… this has always been home.

This season is going to be different. Matthew has BIG ideas, fresh energy, and a true racer’s heart behind every decision. And most importantly — he wants to hear from YOU. Fans, drivers, families… your opinions matter because this track is built for the people who love it.

As 2025 comes to an end I just want to thank all of you who have supported me this year from purchasing through my website ryanrobertsphotography.smugmug.com and my drivers at Brownstown Speedway. Thank you Mark Schaefer for recommending me to Jim Price to be track photographer. I had a blast in my first year at the track that means so much to me and my family. I am looking forward to 2026 as track photographer! Thank you to Wendy and Russell who took great care of me each week. The whole staff at Brownstown were all so good to me. A huge thank you to my wife who puts up with me traveling and spending many nights away from home. She says to me every March see you at Christmas.

Here are the 2025 stats

56 nights of racing covering 9,105 miles at 18 different race tracks in 6 different states. I was in Indiana for 27 of them nights with 21 races at Brownstown. 12 nights in Ohio with most of them at Eldora for FloRacing Night In America,The Dream,The World,and The DTWC. New tracks that I visited were Paragon Speedway, Shadyhill Speedway, Montpelier Speedway by The Milkman, and Thunder Valley Speedway

Campbellsville, KY (December 26th, 2025) –
JRR Motorsports has officially signed veteran crew chief Randall Edwards to lead the JRR Motor Sales–backed No. 11, effective immediately. (Zach Yost Photography)

Edwards, a name synonymous with Dirt Track Racing and widely respected for his success with multiple teams across the country, will join JRR Motorsports for the 2026 season with plans to follow a national tour and Josh’s 2026 Rookie of the Year campaign with either the World of Outlaws or Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

Edwards will begin his role immediately, with plans for the team’s first race together to be January 22nd-24th at the World of Outlaws Sanctioned Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park.
