The 2025–2026 Grassroots Grant Cycle is here, and we’re hosting two FREE workshops to help you navigate the process and set your project up for success. Whether you're applying for the first time or need a refresher, we've got you covered!

Led by the Gaston Arts Council in partnership with the NC Arts Council, these sessions will cover eligibility, funding priorities, and tips for crafting a strong proposal. Don't miss this chance to bring your arts ideas to life with the support they deserve!

🎥 New Arts Spotlight now live!
We just launched the first video in our new Arts Spotlight series, where we highlight the people and places shaping the creative spirit of Gaston County.

Episode one takes you inside the Gaston School of the Arts, a space where students of all ages explore music, dance, visual art, and theatre. Their story is a powerful reminder of how local support and creative passion come together to build something lasting.

We’re proud to support their work through the Grassroots Arts Program, which we help administer at the Gaston Arts Council.

🦸‍♂️🎨 We had a super time at the Gaston County Public Library’s Comic-Con! The Gaston Arts Council hit the floor with capes on (figuratively… mostly 😉), spreading the word about our passion for ALL forms of art - from brushstrokes to comic books to films.

We loved hanging out with our friends at Do Art Productions and sharing how we support the Live at Your Library series. Because yes, libraries are for readers… but also dreamers, creators, and heroes of every kind. 💥📚✨

Stay tuned for more ways we’re showing up for Gaston County’s vibrant creative scene - and remember: art is everywhere, even in the pages of your favorite graphic novel. 🖌️

The arts are taking over Mount Holly this weekend!

The Arts Mount Holly Spring Event, led by our friends at Arts Mount Holly, is a shining example of how Gaston County’s creative culture continues to grow and thrive. Be sure and attend this weekend, happening Friday & Saturday, June 6–7. This is a celebration of creativity, community, and local talent right in the heart of downtown Mount Holly.

🎶 Friday Night kicks off with live music & an Art Preview along West Central Ave at 6pm.

🖼️ Saturday brings the beloved Art Crawl with artists inside shops along Main Street. 10 am - 3 pm.

🏆 Cap it off with the juried show “Noteworthy - A Melodic Fusion of Art and Music ” at The Grand Hall at 5 pm!

✨ A Historic Night for the Arts in Gaston County! ✨

For the first time ever, 18 incredible organizations that support the arts in Gaston County will come together under one roof for a night of connection, creativity, and community at the ArtsGaston Showcase.

This is more than an event - it’s a moment.

From theater to music, public art to dance, this showcase is a chance to meet the people behind the scenes, learn about all the vibrant arts and culture happening right here in our community, and find out how you can support and get involved.
