Kinston is one of several high schools taking part in the first Marvin Jarman 7-on-7 high school football event at J.H. Rose. Brian Bailey spoke with Ryan Gieselman about the event. Highlights of the event on 9OYS News at 11.

Several high school football teams from around Eastern North Carolina are at J.H. Rose for the first seven-on-seven tournament held at the school. It's named to honor Marvin Jarman. WNCT's Brian Bailey has a preview.

The Big Rock Keli Wagner Lady Angler Tournament begins Saturday but festivities to kick off the event were happening on Friday. WNCT's Courtney Cortright was live with the tournament director to find out more.

If you're wondering where ECU's baseball team is in the AAC Tournament, the quick answer is seeking shelter. A massive rainstorm was falling in Clearwater, Fla. The Pirates trailed 6-5 going into the bottom of the fourth inning. Brian Bailey will have more at 6:20 on 9OYS News.
