Hashtags are still one of the strongest tools for discoverability in 2025—if used smartly. Here are the headline rules everyone needs in their hashtag strategy right now:
✨ Use about 20 hashtags per post when possible, mixing high‑volume, niche, and branded tags. These tend to yield higher reach. 
✨ Prioritize relevance & quality over sheer quantity. A few well‑chosen hashtags trumps many unrelated ones. 
✨ Combine different types of hashtags:
– Niche / descriptive tags (describing your content) 
– Industry or community tags 
– Location‑based tags when relevant 
– Branded tags to build your own community. 
✨ Consider using hashtags in either the caption or the first comment—both work. If using comments, post them immediately so they get registered the same way.
