BLACKLISTED: The youngest Black police chief in America is putting his law enforcement colleagues on blast — and now he’s suing them as he fights to regain his credibility.

Brookford Police Chief Willie Armstrong reopened the 1992 disappearance of Dee Dee Dawkins — and says the investigation that followed ultimately turned against him.

Now, newly revealed text messages are at the center of a new lawsuit Armstrong filed against the Catawba County District Attorney.

A judge previously dismissed the state’s case against Armstrong.

CMS DRAMA 👀 A leadership shakeup is underway at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

The board terminated Superintendent Dr. Crystal Hill, Dr. Melissa Balknight is now serving as acting superintendent, and former board chair Stephanie Sneed resigned her leadership role but kept her seat.

And that’s not all — the board also released parts of its investigation into Dr. Hill that found no wrongdoing.

Charlotte City Council voted to back the I-77 express toll lanes — despite heated opposition at last night’s meeting.

Two councilmembers who previously voted against the project changed their votes this time around.

The deal includes at least $300 million in community investments.

DaBaby just opened a new restaurant, No Knife Chicken & Waffle, and the internet has A LOT to say about the prices.

I’ve seen plenty of chatter about the $25 price tag for one waffle with a topping — with no sides included.

BUT… I’ve also heard nothing but good things about the taste!

At this point, I’m going to have to try it for myself. Can’t wait to check it out!
