Basil's Restaurant is at 1675 E. Firetower Rd, Greenville, NC.

You get all 4 flavors for $12.

Boston South, which operates out of the kitchen at
Third Street Academy, is creating some desserts for Basils since The Sweet Couple Bakery closed.

This Friday, Basil's Restaurant will be offering Cheesecake Mousse Flights.
A decadent, shareable flight of four silky cheesecakes—each topped with a different finish: espresso, cocoa, cinnamon, and vanilla wafer.
Grab yourself some dinner and save a little room for dessert.

Record-breaking heat was felt across parts of ENC today. New Bern tied their record high for the day, and Hatteras broke their record for the day. Dangerously hot and humid conditions continue tomorrow.

Come watch science in action! A public sea turtle nest excavation will be taking place SOON:

🐢 Monday, July 28, at 9:00am on Ocracoke Island (park in the Ocracoke Pony Pen Beach Access parking lot).

Nest location: Walk down the beach access path towards the beach. On the beach walk north (left) for approximately 250 feet.

⌚️ Please allow for extra time to walk to the nest, as we will start promptly at 9:00am. Bring water and sunscreen.

Watch Park biologists dig up a recently hatched nest and inventory what’s inside. They will count empty eggshells, collect unhatched eggs, and occasionally find live and/or dead hatchlings during these excavations. While the biologists perform their examination of the nest, a park ranger will present a program on sea turtles and share what the biologists have found. Photos and updates from this nest excavation will be posted in the comment section below.

For more information and to learn about additional upcoming public nest excavations, visit our webpage: https://www.nps.gov/caha/learn/nature/seaturtles.htm
