Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! 💐💕

So thankful my mom could be here with us this weekend. We had such a special day together… church on Sunday morning, Mother’s Day brunch at the club, and then Mom and I went to see The Devil Wears Prada 2 that afternoon.

The kids also sent me on the sweetest little scavenger hunt through the house to find my Mother’s Day gifts which definitely made for a memorable morning 😂 And Blair made and decorated the CUTEST little Mother’s Day spa day cookies! 🍪💕

Motherhood is beautiful, exhausting, emotional, joyful, and such a gift all at once. So thankful for these moments and memories with family.

Hope all the amazing moms out there felt celebrated and loved this weekend! 🤍

What an incredible run. 💙 We are going to miss Arendelle so much! ☃️❄️

Watching Blair make her professional theater debut as Young Anna in Frozen at Children's Theatre of Charlotte has been one of the most special experiences for our entire family.

After months of daily rehearsals, late nights, school performances during the week, and two-show days on weekends… this girl has grown in every way. She learned so much from the incredibly talented professional cast, who truly took her under their wing. We could not have asked for a better group of people to guide and support her.

And let’s just say… she has definitely caught the bug. 🎭 She is already dreaming about her next show.

One of my favorite parts of this journey was watching so many of our friends and family experience Children’s Theatre for the first time. Every single person walked away blown away by the quality… the set design, costumes, live orchestra, and the level of talent on that stage.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Children’s Theatre of Charlotte not only offers amazing programs for kids, but also produces a full season of professional shows with paid adult actors… all created with families and children in mind.

I’ll never forget taking Blair to her very first show there when she was about five years old. She looked up at me and said, “I want to do this someday.” Children can audition starting at age nine… and last year, when she turned nine, she did. She was cast as Young Anna, and we waited almost a year for this moment.

If you have a child who loves to perform, auditions are held in May for the upcoming season. It is such a special opportunity.

We are just so grateful… to the cast, the creative team, and everyone behind the scenes who made this experience unforgettable.

We will never forget our time in Arendelle. 💙

How do you sum up 13 years with our sweet Buddy boy, who was such a vital part of our family? Our Buddy passed away today.

We got Buddy when Chris and I were just starting our life together, before we were even married. He was there for everything… our early years, our move from Boston, our first home, and then the biggest chapters of all, bringing our babies home to him. He has been with Blair and CJ their entire lives. They have never known a home without him.

He watched our family grow… welcoming another dog, learning to share his space (and his bed) with our cat Larry, and somehow always remaining the steady, gentle, loving heart of it all.

Buddy was the kind of dog everyone hopes for… loyal, patient, and unbelievably sweet. The kind who makes a house feel like a home. The kind who leaves paw prints on your heart that never fade.

He was so special to us, he even made his way into my first children’s book… which feels so fitting, because he truly was part of our story.

We love you, Buddy.
Thank you for every moment, every memory, every bit of love you gave.

We will miss you more than words can say. 🐾🤍

She thinks I just see her up there…
on stage, smiling, performing, living her dream 🤍

And I do. I am so proud.

But what she doesn’t see…
is what I see.

I see the little redheaded girl with wide eyes at ,
meeting Princess Anna for the very first time…
completely in awe. ✨

I see the dress-up days.
The living room performances.
The way she felt seen in a character who looked like her,
acted like her,
and made her believe she could be that girl too.

There is something so important about that…
seeing yourself in a story.

And now here she is…
standing on a real stage,
in her professional theater debut with ,
playing Young Anna in FROZEN.

She thinks I’m just watching the performance…
but I’m watching the full circle moment.

The little girl who once looked up and whispered,
“I want to be you someday…”

…is now the one another little girl will look up to. ❤️

And I can’t help but see every version of her at once.

“Mom, what were you like in the ’90s?”

Well… apparently I was a little bit of everything.

Oversized sweatshirts.
Shorts with scrunched socks.
Brown hair one week… blonde the next.
Two-piece prom dresses that somehow felt completely normal at the time.

The ’90s were kind of the wild west of fashion. No rules. Just vibes.

And honestly… I’d go back in a heartbeat. 💿

Tell me you grew up in the ’90s without telling me you grew up in the ’90s.

Happy Easter 🤍

Every year, we do this… and somehow it becomes even more special.

The same little hands holding the softest bunnies, the same giggles, the same excitement… but the kids are a little older, a little taller, and I feel just a little more aware of how fast it’s all going.

These bunny photos at have become one of our favorite traditions. The kind you don’t realize matters so much until you look back and see the years changing in front of you.
