Mal Pan recently invited me to their Heritage Dinner, a multi-course, family-style meal featuring their refreshed menu.

Owner Andre Lomeli partnered with Boy & Girl Farm (Boy And Girl Farm), Motown Spice (Motown Spice) and other local vendors including Pizza Baby (Pizza Baby) and Dulce Dreams (Norma- Mexican Mobile Bakery CLT, NC 🚐). Mal Pan has evolved its scratch-cooking kitchen toward becoming seed-oil free.

✨Milpa Escabeche (pickled veggies) on masienda tostadas
✨Chiles toreados (shish*to & Serrano)
✨Cochinita Tortitas (on Pizza Baby ciabatta)
✨Milpa taco (veggie tacos with queso panela)

Saturday brunch is the most important meal of the week! 😊 Another Broken Egg Cafe - Concord, NC treated me with a VIP experience for their grand re-opening, and every bite was heavenly! From sweet to savory, every dish was so good. 😋

I’ve seen Maria's Mexican Restaurant’s viral birria dishes everywhere online, so I decided to head over and finally try it for them for myself. The Birria Platter 2.0 was the perfect order for a first timer like me. It has a little bit of everything!

What’s included:
🌮 2 QuesaBirrias - Crispy, cheesy, dunkable perfection
🍜 Birria Ramen - Rich, slow-cooked broth loaded with tender birria, topped with two crunchy birria flautas for dipping.
🍟 Birria Cheese Fries - Crispy fries smothered in melty cheese and juicy birria.
🔥 Hot Cheetos Birria Burrito - Spicy, crunchy, cheesy, and completely unhinged (in the best way).
🍅 Served with all the fixings - Consomé for dipping, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa.

I spent the evening getting pampered at The Head Spa Sanctuary Charlotte - and it was next-level relaxation! 💆‍♀️✨ We started with a scalp analysis - my first ever! - followed by a deep cleanse and waterfall treatment. Add in a scalp massage, glow facial, and Knesko Collagen Lip Mask, and I left feeling like a new woman.
