One of the hardest parts of being a prison wife that people don't talk about...

💔 Being sick on your own.

When you're exhausted, running a fever, or simply need someone to help carry the load, there's no partner there to step in. No one to bring you medicine, make you soup, or tell you to get some rest.

You still have to keep going.

Some relationships don’t survive incarceration—but some of us are still here, still choosing love every single day.

Not because it’s easy.

We’re writing letters, taking calls, planning futures, and holding onto faith—even when it gets hard.

That kind of love? It’s different. It’s intentional.

So today, instead of focusing on what’s missing, let’s acknowledge what’s still standing:

Easter check-in 💛

Not everyone is smiling today—and that’s okay.

Some of us are celebrating…
Some of us are holding back tears…
Some of us are just trying to make it through the day.

Loving someone who is incarcerated during holidays hits different. The emptiness, the missing presence, the “this isn’t how it’s supposed to be” feeling… it’s real.

But so is your strength.
So is your loyalty.
So is your love.

If today feels heavy, give yourself permission to feel it—but don’t forget who you are. You are strong enough to carry this.
