On Sept 2, 2025, my world shifted forever—my mother passed away. And now, with both of my parents gone, I find myself navigating a new season of life I never imagined stepping into so soon.
Grief is something we don’t talk about enough. It’s hard, it’s messy, and it’s deeply personal. Some days you feel strong, and other days the smallest thing can make you fall apart. I’ve learned that grief touches every part of you—your mind, your body, your emotions, and your spirit. And while it can break you open, it can also grow you in ways you never expected.
While I was flying home, to PA, to take care of my mother’s affairs and prepare for her service, I felt so fragile—like one unkind word could shatter me completely. I wished I had a sign that said: “Please be kind to me. My Mom just passed..” That moment stayed with me, and it sparked an idea.
I created a t-shirt that read:
“Handle with Care Grieving the loss of My Mother.”
What began as a personal expression of my own grief has grown into something more—a way to honor my mother while also helping others. Grief takes many forms: the loss of a loved one, a pet, a home, a job, or a relationship. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, but I believe we all share one common need: kindness.
That’s why I decided to create a T-shirt— one that not only honors the ones we’ve lost but also gently ask the world for compassion. Each design can be customized to include the name of your loved one, pet, or even a special memory if you’d like.
For me, these shirts are more than fabric and ink—they’re a reminder that we don’t walk through grief alone. God is with us, and through Him, we find the strength to keep living, loving, and healing. My prayer is that when you see or wear one of these shirts, you’ll feel that truth too.
You can purchase a shirt on our website www.redd-yada.com.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for walking alongside me on this journey. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more than words can say.
With Kindness & Compassion
