It's listening party time!! Come one, come all, to the grandest podcast show in the infernal world! Tonight, Cale and Rik finally get to interview Pazuzu, King of the Demons of the Southwesterly Winds, son of Hanpa, brother of Humbaba, and betrothed to and sworn enemy of she who must not be named. He is best known for bringing famine, locusts, storms, reality TV, and disease to corrupt and corrode the human race. His worshippers believed Pazuzu helped ward off other demons, and, thus, representations of his face served as popular apotropaic amulets in the 1st millennium BCE in the Middle East. With that in mind, Cale and Rik dig in to find out what's really going on with this wild and crazy guy. (Link below)

Cale and Rik turn the page on their recent controversy in ep17. Mostly due to Cale's sudden and fairly inappropriate appreciation for Rik's wife. You know, the way most arguments get settled between old buddies. Bottom line, they hug it out and high five. To Rik's credit, he makes their rapprochement as uncomfortable as possible.

Their guest this week is the Raven of the Night, also known as the Nachtkrapp to his friends. The Nachtkrapp is a strong disciplinarian who carries on the traditions of the old country. And he's the nice one in his family! Cale struggles with the Nachtkrapp's name, looking directly at his tattered wings, and then differentiating an avenging demonic force from a 1980s rock band. While the Nachtkrapp might not seem like the nurturing type, his parental instincts peek out when he meets the baby Tiyanaks. Cale feels the start of a hot, hot streak!

After all the recent trouble, it's good to hear Cale so positive and downright excited to get back in the podcast saddle. The secret to his success? It's Chik, Rik's other brother! He's come to save the day after Rik's little technology problems of late. Chik is competent and follows podcast producer protocols in ways that Rik neither comprehends nor gives a damn about. What could possibly go wrong? Certainly no lessons from Judas Iscariot or Benedict Arnold. But also, Cale is a bit of a jerk so he kind of earned the wraith of Chikadilly Circus. It's a hard episode for our heroes. Cale has discovered Rik's failure to post The Podcast from Hell ... about 90% of the time. So we can be sad that those episodes are gone, but Cale is enraged and Rik is both ashamed and a little turned on (as usual). Is this the end for their partnership? Not a chance. Not because of forgiveness or reconciliation but because that's not how damnation works. All that before the Glawackus enters the scene. How do you pronounce "Glawackus?" I have all the secrets of the occult and known worlds at my fingertips and I can't figure it out. (nexus infra --> )
