Sweet girl

One day you’re living your life on a chain, destined to be breeder stock until your body is all used up…then you meet some Chainbreakers.

Now life is soft couches and poolside snuggles.

Nutella has her own broken chain link on my arm, along with so many other amazing dogs. I got to reunite with her a bit this last week and I gotta say - it’s good for the soul.

She’s one of hundreds of chain dogs saved by - one of thousands of cruelty and neglect cases that got a new life because of this amazing rescue.

Rescue to Service!

Last week I was a therapy dogs plus one at a wedding, this week I’m a therapy dogs date to a birthday bash 😂

I’ve been blessed to work with a few dogs I can honestly say if I never worked another dog again - it would all be worth it. Dottie is one of them!

After she was left tied to a horse trailer during tornado storms, and saved by my very favorite firefighter turned animal control officer, I adopted her outright - knowing I wasn’t keeping her but that she was special and would serve a higher calling.

I also named her Dorothy, “Dottie” for short, because I am a rascal 🤷🏻‍♂️

Her work now couldn’t be more near and dear to my heart. She works with her therapist human as a therapy dog, seeing patients and helping people heal.

This is what’s possible with rescue and it’s the pride of my training career to have played a small part in that.

This life is a blessing 🤘
