Team Dominator Storm Recovery is launching the LIFT initiative.
In weather, Lift is the upward movement of warm air that helps create clouds and thunderstorms.
In TDSR, lift is also a positive, 4 part campaign for the weather community.

L - Learn - We will be helping the general public more easily understand weather and radar, map location, and storm direction with information and links to free courses. We will focus on providing simple, calm and prioritized public information during weather events.
I - Inspire - We will be helping coach young weather enthusiasts to follow their dreams by planning local and online events with our team and our partners, recording personal videos, sending out free merch, and other activities. All weather obsessed kids are welcome.
F - Forgive - We want to be a positive influence in the online weather community by encouraging everyone to try and be more kind to each other. Forgive misjudgments, stop public bullying and avoid the cancel culture. Adapt constructive criticism and help guide those willing to learn from mistakes.
T- Teach - We will be having presentations at various schools to help teach children about severe weather and how to be proactive and prepare for it, rather than being scared. We will have fun discussions, prizes and team recovery/ chaser vehicles for an interactive experience.

S.T.A.N.D. is a campaign built around one simple belief: we are stronger when we stand together.

In a world where bullying, division, hate, and hardship can make people feel like they are facing life alone, S.T.A.N.D. is a reminder that one person choosing to step up can make a difference.

Serve those around you.
Together we are stronger.
Act when someone needs help.
Never ignore someone who is struggling.
Divide is what we refuse to let happen.

S.T.A.N.D. isn't just about wearing a shirt, sharing a post, or supporting a campaign. It's about taking action—helping a neighbor after a disaster, standing beside someone being bullied, supporting someone going through a difficult time, volunteering in your community, or simply reminding another person that they aren't alone.

You don't need a badge, a title, or special training to make an impact. Sometimes making a difference starts with being the person willing to show up.

Stand for your community.
Stand against bullying.
Stand against hate and division.
Stand beside those who need someone.
Stand for something bigger than yourself.

Yesterday, Muncie, Indiana, experienced significant flash flooding after several inches of rain fell in a short period of time. Streets quickly turned into rivers, neighborhoods were inundated, and emergency crews responded to numerous reports of flooded homes, stranded motorists, and water rescues.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this flooding event, including the families now facing the difficult task of cleaning up and recovering. Thank you to the first responders, public works crews, utility workers, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to keep their communities safe.
Floods can develop rapidly and become life-threatening in a matter of minutes. If you encounter flooded roadways, remember: Turn Around, Don't Drown. It only takes a small amount of moving water to sweep away a vehicle.

Stay safe, look out for your neighbors, and continue to keep the Muncie community in your thoughts as recovery efforts begin.
