We are writing this from Kanfoud Prison in Benghazi, Libya.

We are facing a serious problem in this prison.

There are pregnant women, mothers, and children being denied any medical care.

We are subjected to harassment, and many of us have been r***d here. The method of r**e is very strange; some disappears suddenly for two days or more, is gang-r***d, and then returned to the prison. All those who were r***d have mental health problems lately .

We are terrified and cannot even escape from this place.

As for food, it is only provided once a day. We do not receive enough drinking water, and many of us are in critical health conditions and, unfortunately, are not receiving adequate treatment. There are about 80 people in this building and there are other rooms full of women. There is no fresh air and many of us are in danger. If we speak out, our rights are not protected.

They beat us with sticks, one after another. There are about 15 pregnant women and 10 children under the age of 10, including more than 20 children, more than 150 women, and more than 200 men.

Our lives are in danger. Please help us get out of here. Yesterday, they took three women, and we don’t know where they took them. Every now and then, they tell us they will speak with our embassies, but they do nothing to save us. They are trying to use us for other purposes, We appeal to all of you who hear about our situation: please share this and get it to the relevant authorities. Our lives are in dange
