As we made our way home from Acadia we stopped in a few of the other coastal towns and cities I’d been wanting to see. We briefly visited Camden, Rockport, Owls Head, Portsmouth and Newburyport. The next few posts I’ll be sharing what I captured on the way home through these towns!

Rounding out the Milky Way series with a shot of my old truck under the Milky Way here in CT. Then a shot of my new one and some others from under the northern lights back in October last year in New Hampshire.

Before going over to Thunder Hole, we started the night out at sand beach. It’s hard to beat sitting on the beach and looking up at skies like this! Only wish we had some dark skies closer to home!

Decided to try out a little astrophotography while we were at Thunder Hole in Acadia National Park. These were just single shots so there’s a lot of noise in the shadows but I think they came out pretty good! It’s definitely got me wanting to learn more about stacking and how to take better Astro photos. Such a cool experience sitting out under the dark skies either way!

A couple from the Jordan Pond house back in April. Definitely a different feeling up there in the early spring. Wishing I was up there now to get a break from this heat!

A couple shots from Owl’s Head Lighthouse which made for a great stop on our way back from Acadia. Work has been crazy busy the past few weeks so I’m pretty backed up on editing/posting 😅

Here’s a few more from our trip to Acadia National Park. We went very early in the season, which had its disadvantages, but it was really nice to have these coastlines pretty much all to ourselves! Boulder beach was another spot I had missed on my first trip, and although I didn’t get sunrise I think the shots came out pretty good.

We caught sunset from the other side of the ravens nest and the sunset light just barely snuck through the clouds giving us a show just before dark. Most of these are landscape shots so I had to get a little creative to fit them in the IG crop. Maybe I’ll share them in their native crop later.

On my first trip to Acadia I never made it over to the Schoodic Peninsula, so this time I had to go check it out. Definitely wasn’t disappointed when we came across this viewpoint called The Ravens Nest.

Spent an evening watching the sunset at Bass Harbor Lighthouse. This is the second time I’ve been to the lighthouse for sunset but I still don’t think I got an angle that I’m happy with. Oh well, I’ll have to take another trip back 😜. Shout out to the couple who posed for us, and everyone else who was there!
