At 38, I’m making a major move — shifting my primary focus from running a successful photo and video production business to building a career in IT and cybersecurity.
Life doesn’t come with guarantees. Success doesn’t erase uncertainty. I built a business I’m proud of — with the freedom to choose my projects, work with amazing people and earn a strong living. But when you own the business, you’re always chasing the next opportunity. True stability is hard to find.
When my daughter was born, everything changed. I knew I wanted more than just flexibility — I wanted lasting security, growth, and a future built on a stronger foundation.
This career shift isn’t about closing a door. I’ll still take on select creative projects for clients I value — but my main focus now is IT and cybersecurity, where I can grow, evolve and build long-term. I've been fortunate to secure an internship with a company that I have valued and respected since day one of working with them. This started with having them as a video production client and has now developed into an internship opportunity for me.
The skills are new, but the drive is the same. I’m bringing the same work ethic, passion, and commitment into this next chapter — and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
If you’re standing at a crossroads, don’t be afraid to pivot. Growth isn’t about giving up what you’ve built — it’s about building something even greater.
