A buy here pay here dealer in Knoxville repossessed and then resold a customer's car because they believed it was in poor condition with what they felt were too many miles. They did it all without telling her.
The woman is now without her car, her down payment, and the money she spent having it serviced. She made all of her payments. When she brought it in to have the transmission looked at the dealer took it upon themselves to auction it off without her knowledge. They neglected to inform the state as well.
The dealership's nonsense response was simply "Transmission out. Excessive miles. Repo’d it. Difficult business. Thank you for caring enough to ask."
