I just had a new roof installed and have noticed a few areas that may be installation errors.
If you look at the attached photos, they reference what I am seeing.
In picture one, there are a few shingles that have humps/creases. Should those be replaced?
In picture two, there are places where flashing was replaced, but it doesn't cover where the previous flashing was installed. Is this something that the roofing company should touch up with paint?
In picture three, there are shingles that look damaged or crushed. Again, should these be replaced?
In picture four, a plumbing boot is slightly concave. Should it be popped out to be fully convex? My fear is that rain will pool up in the concave part of the boot and leak down the vent pipe. Thoughts?
I would like some opinions on this before I finish this project with the roofing company.
Thanks!

Well folks, Atlas says that they are not bringing back the Stormmaster Slate, ever. I had hoped they would resume production after the pandemic. So, what’s the best substitute for such a fantastic product?

Hey all. Im not going into the details too much, but for context, my wife and I got a roof put on our house from my mom as part of my inheritance. We have 2 babies, I just started my own business, and we really needed one badly so she saw a need and wanted to help. We are grateful, however, she chose a contractor whom didn't even have any contracts written up before accepting money or starting the job, over estimated out roof by almost 10 squares, did some iffy work in my opinon, so on and so forth.
Anyways, his guys came and banged out the roof in 1.5 days. I wasnt super happy about the attention to detail (or lack thereof), the craftsmanship, the prep or cleanup, etc.
His guys had to rip out some existing framing on my flat roof because of rot, and instead of reframing it the way it was to maintain a consistent straight roof line against the house, they just threw plywood on older framing they found underneath which created a valley that is barely out of level or shedding water.
That is my main problem, and the contractors rememdy was to remove my gutters to prevent ice dams on my porch? I was pretfy confused by that. On top of that they did a crappy job removing my siding and damaged a bunch of it, left a bunch of trash and debris in my neighbor's yard and they didn't clean up my yard very good either. I had to pick up about a half gallon bucket's worth of rusty nails so my kids, wife and dog didn't step on one like I did.
Tell me, is this typical with roofers or did my mom and I get duped by a shady contractor?
Edit: I am a master carpenter specializing in custom kitchens, cabinetry, built-ins, stairs and railings, restoration work and furniture making. I have roofed many times in the past, but never wanted to make a career out of it. I know that a lot of the work that was done on my roof was crappy, I just want to get some outside opinions from people in the business is all. I appreciate all of the feedback. God bless you guys!

We would like the roofing company to remedy issues. Could you provide specific critiques / suggestons? Thank you!
Hi all, wondering if you could shed some light on the circled parts of our roof.
We recently paid a lot of money for a zincalume roof on two of our buildings. Overall, it looks pretty good. However these two spots don’t seem right to us- metal that looks sloppily folded over. The roofing company assured us this is how it should be. Is this necessary or was this just sloppy? Insights are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Question on this new roof?
I saw a lot of issues like bumpy shingles, scuffing marks, no flashing around skylights and dormers. Can someone tell me what to do? Already paid 50% and they are asking the rest today. Am I right to be worried this is bad workmanship. They did the job in one day under 94+ degree temp and I feel like they rushed it. I had someone come to do a final walkthrough and he came on another hot day stand on, walked on and sit on the new roof and lifted up a shingle to check.

What’s the correct ventilation!?
What’s up y’all! The home is 2,895 sqft, no v***r barrier, no gable vents, adequate soffit intake, with 18 sticks of ridge vent.
The property is 309 sq in NFA short for the exhaust be properly ventilated and the homeowner is complaining that the attic gets very hot.
My suggestion to the homeowner is to cover all ridge venting with new decking and install 1 attic breeze 45wt solar fan in the center of the roof and 3 static dome vents.
How would you fix this exhaust ventilation and why?
