Are you their successors, or are they their successors, or are we their successors? And who is the true successor?
In the name of God, who made Adam His successor on earth, taught him, and guided him.
Peace and blessings be upon him, eternal and constant, as long as God's sovereignty remains with those whom He appointed as successors after his death, may God bless him and grant him peace.
My topic today indicates who is the caliph.
The word "caliph" has several meanings depending on the context. Here are some possibilities:
1. In Arabic:
"Caliph" means someone who succeeds another, i.e., someone who comes after him to take his place in governance or responsibility. For example, a caliph is someone who succeeds the Prophet in leading the Muslims, or someone who succeeds a previous king or ruler.
2. In Islam:
The caliph is the leader of the Muslims after the death of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. The caliphate began with Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, followed by Umar ibn al-Khattab, Uthman ibn Affan, and Ali ibn Abi Talib, who are known as the "Rightly Guided Caliphs."
3. For Sufis, the "caliph" is someone who has surpassed the rank of the disciple, the desired, or the leader. He is a spiritual position and a central figure, distinct from the political or literal concept of the caliphate. Here is the meaning in the Sufi context:
1. Who is the caliph according to Sufis?
The caliph in Sufism is: the spiritual heir of the sheikh or the pole. The sheikh's representative in the order. He is someone who has attained the station of empowerment in spiritual conduct and achieved the lofty levels of asceticism, piety, and knowledge of God.
As the caliph of Sheikh Ahmed ibn Muhammad al-Tijani, according to the ḥawthīyah, he is the caliph of Sheikh al-Hajj Ibrahim ibn Abdullah Inyas, may God be pleased with them.
2. What does the caliph do?
He guides the disciples (disciples). He propagates the Sufi order. He preserves the sheikh's teachings and is trusted for spiritual education. He is granted the ijāzah (authority) from the original sheikh or the pole of the order.
3. Conditions for becoming a caliph according to Sufism: He must have completed the spiritual conduct and purified his heart. He must have received permission or authorization from the Sheikh of the Tariqa. He must possess high morals, honesty, patience, and knowledge.
4. The difference between "Khalifa" and "Sheikh": The Khalifa may be subordinate to the Grand Sheikh or Qutb, but he holds the authority to spread the Tariqa. The Sheikh may be of higher rank and may be the one who appoints the Khalifa.
He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "May God have mercy on my successors." It was said, "And who are your successors?" He said, "Those who revive my Sunnah and teach it to the servants of God."
Are you the successors of God on earth or not?
Are you the successors of the Messenger of God on earth or not?
Do you revive the Sunnah of God and His Messenger with sincere intentions and righteous deeds or not?
Do you teach the Book of God and the Hadith of His Messenger by learning worship or not?
Sheikh Al-Islam Hajj Ibrahim bin Abdullah Inyas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: The son of a sheikh is not a sheikh if he does not follow in his father's footsteps.
So a seeker is not a seeker if he does not follow in his sheikh's footsteps, and the son of a doer of good is not a doer of good if he does not follow in his father's footsteps. Allah the Almighty said to His Prophet Noah: "Noah said, 'Indeed, he is not of your family. Indeed, he is an act other than righteous.'"
Allah and His Messenger know best.
I say this and I seek forgiveness from Allah for myself and for you, and I seek forgiveness from Him, for He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

بسم الله الذي جعل آدم خليفته في الأرض وعلمه وهداه،
صلاة وسلاما دائمين متلازمين بدوام ملك الله على من ولاه خلفاؤه بعد وفاته صلى الله عليه وسلم
موضوعي اليوم دل على من هو الخليفة؟
كلمة “خليفة” لها عدة معانٍ حسب السياق، إليك بعض الاحتمالات:
1. في اللغة العربية:
“خليفة” تعني الذي يخلف غيره، أي يأتي بعده ليأخذ مكانه في الحكم أو المسؤولية. مثلاً: الخليفة هو من يخلف النبي في قيادة المسلمين، أو من يخلف ملكاً أو حاكماً سابقاً.
2. في الإسلام:
الخليفة هو قائد المسلمين بعد وفاة النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، وكانت بداية الخلافة مع أبي بكر الصديق، ثم عمر بن الخطاب، وعثمان بن عفان، وعلي بن أبي طالب، وهم يُعرفون بـ”الخلفاء الراشدين”.
٣. عند المتصوفين، “الخليفة” هو من فاق مرتبة المريد، مرتبة المراد، مرتبة المقدم، هو مقام روحي وشخصية مركزية، تختلف عن المفهوم السياسي أو الظاهري للخلافة. إليك المعنى في السياق الصوفي:
1. من هو الخليفة عند المتصوفة؟
الخليفة في التصوف هو: الوارث الروحي للشيخ أو القطب. ممثل الشيخ في الطريقة. من بلغ مقام التمكين في السلوك الروحي، وحقق المقامات العالية من الزهد، والتقوى، والمعرفة بالله.
كخليفة للشيخ أحمد ابن محمد التجاني من باب الغوثية هو خليفة الشيخ الحاج إبراهيم بن عبد الله إنياس رضي الله تعالى عنهم.
2. ماذا يفعل الخليفة؟
يُرشد المريدين (التلاميذ). ينشر الطريقة الصوفية. يحافظ على تعاليم الشيخ، ويكون موضع ثقة في التربية الروحية. يُعطى الإجازة من الشيخ الأصلي، أو من قطب الطريقة.
3. شروط أن يكون الشخص خليفة عند الصوفية: أن يكون قد أكمل السلوك الروحي وتطهّر قلبه. أن يكون قد أخذ الإذن أو الإجازة من شيخ الطريقة. أن يتحلى بالأخلاق العالية، والصدق، والصبر، والمعرفة.
4. الفرق بين “الخليفة” و”الشيخ”: الخليفة قد يكون تابعًا للشيخ الأكبر أو القطب، لكنه يحمل الصلاحيات لنشر الطريقة. الشيخ قد يكون أعلى مقامًا، وقد يكون هو من يعيّن الخليفة.
قال - صلى الله عليه وسلم - على خلفائي رحمة الله على خلفائ قيل ومن خلفاؤك قال الذين يُحْيُون سنتي ويعلمونها عباد الله.

آنتم خلفاء رسول الله في الأرض أم لا؟
آنتم يحيون سنة الله ورسوله بنية الصادقة وعمل الصالح أم لا؟
آنتم يعلمون كتاب الله وحديث رسوله بتعلُّم عبادة أم لا؟
قال الشيخ الإسلام الحاج إبراهيم بن عبد الله إنياس رضي الله تعالى عنهم : ليس ابن الشيخ شيخا إذا لم يخط خطوة أبيه،
ليس مريد مريدا إذا لم يخط خطوة شيخه وليس ابن محسن محسنا إذا لم يخط خطوة أبيه : قال الله تعالى لنبيه نوح : قَالَ یَـٰنُوحُ إِنَّهُۥ لَیۡسَ مِنۡ أَهۡلِكَۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَمَلٌ غَیۡرُ صَـٰلِحࣲۖ
