1. I created a “Choose your own Adventure” style storytime. The kids roll the dice and we plan out the parts of Storytime. I think I might create a presentation for Youth Services. Would anyone be interested?
2. I did a Fun at 5 (it’s a storytime at 5pm) Level up skills, every week we learn something new like building, yoga, and visit by special guests. (Costume bought on Amazon and staff volunteers.)
3. I was gifted a bag of book theme stuffies. So I created a Miss Bunny presents a special guest. Kids can then take pictures with the guest. It’s been a hit!!

I’ve been so excited with this new storytime challenge. I created a choose your own adventure story time. I broke down story time into six piece pieces. 1. Hello song. 2. hand rhyme 3 affirmation 4 wiggles song, 5 prop song, 6 goodbye song. I pick a child to roll the die and the number it falls on I check my Google sheets which is color coated and I write on a dry erase board what the song will be. Kinda hard to explain, but I’ll create a video soon for my Instagram explaining it better. I started it June 1 and it’s been about two weeks for me to get the hang of everything and now it’s pretty easy and goes fast. The kids really enjoy it because they get to be a part of the story time planning process. I have song favorites, but I really got the opportunity to pick some new music to kind of bring in some changes.
Thanks to Jim Gill for this amazing song! We had so much fun!
