Chatting with a fellow creator was was reminded of this moment. For a brief glimmer in time, there was an offer, in writing, to make Legends Parallel into a Bollywood musical. The funding fell apart, but I always wondered what the hell they were thinking.

Not stressing at all. I took a shower so I'd smell good for a phone call. Still not stress-free, I decided to make tacos. Halfway through stirring the meat, I realized I had neither taco seasoning nor tortillas. So, I did the only rational thing. I added more Ghost and Carolina Reaper peppers.

I may have melted off a portion of my tongue.

But I am oddly calm now.

Please buy my stuff. Or buy us a new car for Christmas. Either works.

However you feel about my stuff, you can tell me in person this Sunday, November 24, since I will be signing books and telling people how cool they are at the Rock Shop’s Lit Fest at Thorton Distillery Company located at 400 E. Margaret St, Thornton, IL. 60476 from Noon until 5:00 PM. They have homemade booze, something that is now considered posh, and an excellent menu.

To celebrate, I made a roast beef and egg sandwich on rye.

Finally got the entire site to look consistent. Easier said than done, given the number of outside sources involved. Freebies are now highlighted in a bold red font. I used the same technique to highlight video trailers since it makes them pop off the page, and using multiple colors can be irritating.

A few more picayune technical things later, and this thing scoots along nicely. Drop by and enjoy it all.

The postal person came by, handed me a box, and asked, "Valor Printing? Is that more comic books?" As it turns out, it is. I always enjoy it when she delivers our mail. She's attentive, fun, and polite. She used to be here every day, but with budgets all over the place and people being forced to cover alternate shifts, I only see her a couple of times a week.

Long story short, you can now get autographed copies of Bob: Sins of the Son sent to our door.

A recap of my day. Not my most financially successful day, but overall, it was enjoyable. The con was well run, The volunteers were charming, and the vendors were a wonderfully diverse group of humans. They are learning how to deal with for-profit vendors. As far as I can tell, it's been geared as an event to get kids to wear costumes and play games.

To be fair, the kids were as cute as can be, and the prizes were pretty impressive—think new iPhones and stuff.

It's rare that my October is packed, so I'll try this again.
